Hey!

I'm new to these forums, with my wonderful cat, Smokey!

Allow me to introduce you to Smokey.

As you can tell, his name is Smokey. He's a male, 15 year old Russian Blue. We adopted him when he was one year old (maybe a little less). Smokey is a very friendly cat, ironically he's scared of mice, although I can understand that. He's an indoor cat, used to go outside on the deck with my dad and sit on the chairs while my dad had his coffee.
(We stopped doing that because Smokey was getting brave and there's 4 dogs next door.)

Originally, before we had him, he was outdoors, but his owners let him out and never in. I think he got lost, after a while he was found by some nice people who took him to the Vet.

His old name before that was Napoleon.

Smokey is currently laying by me as I type this, we both have a strong bond!

About me?

I'm a cat person, animator and aside from cats, I really just love all animals! Smokey is my first cat, and still remains by my side.
I like to read and write, draw. Smokey is not my only animal; a snake resides in the house, too!
I look forward to staying on here!

Smokey is gorgeous, that face.

So great you found one another.  He sounds like he's quite content with life by your side.

This site is fantastic.  I know I always repeat myself and say this a lot but this community is unlike any other.  The support from fellow cat lovers is amazing.  The knowledge members have to share is priceless.

Yeah, that's Smokey alright, currently the poor guy is sick right now but I have a LOT of pictures that I'd be glad to share!

Smokey and the snake don't interact to often, but when he does, I think Smokey's rather curious. When he can't see the snake, he easily jumps onto a chair, presses his face right against the glass and looks in there. Every time the snake moves it surprises him I think, lol

Smokey is a true beauty! So sweet and precious looking. So sorry to hear he is ill. Hope he is doing well real soon. We love pictures here so please do share.
