So my question is my cats temperature has dropped, Ive checked it 4 times over the course of the week as she is over due... and was 100 or 101 all week and today she was 98 at around noon, it is now 9pm... my boyfriend is a vet lol but is telling me to be patient and that she will have them when she has then.... but Im just curious in other peoples experiences does this usually mean soon? Or like 3 days from now lol... she was 64 days on Sunday, the babies are still moving like crazy like a pot boiling in there!! She hasnt nested.. i have a feeling she wants to either have them in my bed cause thats where she sleeps... shes been sleeping alot, although she does change locations alot to plop down and fall back asleep... shes still eating.. not alot... shes lovey when she wants to be but cranky towards the other animals and sometimes to me too..

Your boyfriend is correct!

Mother Nature will dictate when she has them unless she has a problem. Sounds like she's doing fine and will have them in the next couple of days if your dates are correct on her mating.

I suspect she may be in labor, and that you may be seeing contractions.

Hang in there, and keep us posted! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I would avoid taking her temperature, and if you must, take it from her underarm and add three degrees. Temperature isn't all that reliable as an indicator and can be quite stressful for mom.

We frequently see cats go to 70 days. If she's not in distress, she's probably fine.

Will your boyfriend spay her when this litter has weaned? What a great resource!

How is she doing today?

And no, she's not overdue. She's right in the zone! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

It's not a good time to leave her. It would not be ideal to leave her alone with newborns either. [emoji]128533[/emoji]
