I forgot her shots

So when Cupcake was adopted(June 5th) the volunteer at the event said we have to take her for shots in 2 months. Except I forgot. Do I have to take her for the shots every 2 months or is it just that one time and then it will be every year after. I'll take her this week. Do I need to take her for more later on. She's still a kitten, 4 1/2-5 months.

Kittens generally get two rounds of their "basic" shots to begin with. Thereafter they get boosters every 1 - 3 years, depending on the vaccines used, whether they're indoor-only or indoor-outdoor cats, whether rabies inoculations are required in your area and how often, etc..
