Before I say what happened I know the first thing people are going to post is "go to the vet." What I'm asking for is opinions based on your own knowledge or experience. All the vets near me are closing before I could make it out so if anything I'd have to either wait until the morning or take her to the emergency vet.

My cat got into.....I'm not even sure exactly what it is. It's the shrubbery at the base of a fake indoor plant. I'll post pictures (it's not gross don't worry). She must've only been at it for a few minutes as my dad saw her walk up to the plant, but didn't see her eat anything. Didn't know a thing until she threw it up a few minutes later.

It's a fake material, but it easily breaks apart, almost like thin paper strips.

So here are pictures of where it came from and what she threw up. The puke was much more condensed than the picture shows, I had to break it apart to try and figure out what the heck it was.

It almost looks like raffia threads. I know what you are referring to~~ the stuff which covers the top of the fake soil...

At least she threw it up.. watch her overnight. If she is eating, drinking, playing, using the litter box appropriately, then she may be ok..

If on the other hand, she seems 'off', then do not hesitate taking her to an emergency vet.

If I were you, I would call the Vet first thing in the morning and ask for advice.

Do not mess around with this stuff. It can be dangerous.. can block or wrap around part of the intestine, causing a blockage and needing surgery..

so just watch overnight...

and throw that fake plant out!! and any others...((hugs)))
