Hello, I just wanted some urgent feedback on my kitty, Halo. We have a tom cat in the house and both cats go into heat every couple of weeks. I plan on getting both of them fixed. But a couple weeks ago they were both in heat and usually our tom cat is really bad at aiming and never completes the mating process. But im starting to think maybe he did this time because Halo hasn't gone into heat at all, shes very affectionate, sleeps all the time, and her nipples appear to be larger but they are not bright pink. She has had a false pregnancy before, I just wanted to know what you guys think. My boyfriend and family think she might be pregnant and her tummy does seem swollen since she is a naturally thin cat. Thank you. - Stephanie

She does look pregnant.  How old is she?

Males don't go into heat.  They are ready to mate at any time.  Would you like help finding a low cost clinic to have him neutered?  He will still be fertile for up to a month after the procedure, so now would be a good time.

She looks pregnant indeed. Usually happens when intact males and females are together.

What's your city and state and we'll check out your options for clinics.

It looks like your local Humane Society refers clients elsewhere for spay/neuter. Their number is 815-385-0005.

Spay Illinois supports a number of clinics that offer low-cost spay/neuter. The closest one to you is about 45 minutes away in Lisle. Here is the link:

I hope this helps! [emoji]128522[/emoji]
