Hello,   I always find it hard to chat,  but there is one thing I never have trouble with,  and that is my deep and binding love for the beautiful little creatures that are such an important part of my life,   my cats..

I am 72 years of age,  and one thing that has always been a constant throughout my life,   has been my cats,   they have been many,  and they have been varied.   but one thing they have always known ,  is that they are loved,  and they are spoilt.   I cannot help myself .   spoiling my little buddies is just normal behaviour for me.   do you find you are the same?

Currently,  I have two.    and those being Tiny (16 yrs old )  and Misty(9 yrs old)    Needless to say,   I had tiny from a kitten,  he has been with me all of his life,  and what an absolutely beautiful little buddy he is.     Tiny , is an inside cat.   and that is simply because I am just not prepared to take a chance with his safety,   inside cats live a much safer life,  it is blatantly obvious.  He does go outside,  BUT.  I go with him.  and he usually has had enough of being outside after about twenty minutes,   and he heads to the front door.    but this has not always been the case.    we had to learn each others ways and habits  and doing so,  as you all know is a wonderful experience.   although sometimes totally frustrating.    one occasion comes immediately to mind,    he loved climbing one particular tree,  and I would wait below,      on one occasion,  he climbed to the very top,  stetched out on one branch,  and I thought went to sleep.   after 45 minutes without even a movement ,  despite my constant calling.  I decided enough was enough,  and that he would come when he was ready..   I was simply cold,  and simply had had enough of waiting,   so I headed for home,   and even though it was only 40 yards away I felt I had waited long enough.    so I headed to the front door,  and upon arriving turned around just to make sure he was ok.    and ,  I was amazed,   he was about ten feet behind me,   obviously,   the moment I headed home,  he did too.  no need to ask me who was the dumb one and who the smart one.   but that is something tiny has proved to me many times,   and I realise my cat is indeed so much smarter than I will ever be.

when Tiny reached the age of 7,   he did seem so lethargic,  and quite simply,  bored.    I had toyed with the idea of getting him a playmate.   BUT, I was indeed worried.   Tiny, had been spoilt his entire life,  he had been the centre of attention,  and simply,  totally loved.  I was indeed scared that he would harm any intruder,  and that any kitten would be looked on as an adversary.    But,  eventually,  I decided to take the chance,  solely because of the lethargy and boredom tiny displayed.      So,  with trepidation,  and worry firmly evident I took steps to find a buddy .    I located an eight week old kitten,

throwing caution to the wind,  I placed Misty,  on the loungeroom floor and watched the confrontation .        Tiny wasted no time investigating this little intruder,  sniffing every inch of the minute little soul.   and tiny,  as usual,  and as he always did,   totally confused me.    he licked Misty,  a few times,  with not the slightest indication of any hostility,  from that moment on,  Misty,  could do as he pleased,    the boredom and lethargy completely disappeared over time,   tiny was it eventually would be seen was an entirely new cat.   and Misty,  a very welcome addition to tinys life.    From that moment until now,   they are inseperable, whenever you look for one,  you will find both.   usually cuddled together.      Even myself,  I remember thinking I could never love another cat as I did tiny,   and it just does not work that way,   they are both dearly loved,  and equally so.     The decision to bring Misty into the household was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Cats,  are a wonderful gift that we so thankfully brighten our lives with.   they give so much,  and expect so little.       If we do not accept this wonderful gift to our lives,   we are indeed the great loser.    these beautiful creatures have made my life absolutely fulfilled.     and I am undoubtedly thankfull for these beautiful  and wondrous creatures,  these exquisite creatures who to me, epitomise LOVE

Oh, they are so sweet.  What a wonderful story. Tiny sounds like a treasure.  I love the photo of the two of them--how sweet that Tiny and Misty are such good friends.

Welcome to TCS!
I look forward to hearing more about these two precious kitties.
