Goodbye Little Bobbie!

It breaks my heart to say that my 9 day old little baby kitten, Bobbie, died last night. I went to check on her and when I picked her up I noticed that she was not breathing but she was still alive at that point. I did everything that I knew to do to try to save her. I put my hand on her chest and tried stimulating her by moving my hand rapidly back and forth. I put my mouth over her nose and mouth and gently gave her tiny breaths. I even tried tiny little chest compressions but I was unable to get her breathing again and she slowly stopped moving and she died in my hands. I have no clue what could have caused her to stop breathing because she seemed very healthy. She was extremely active for a newborn and she was growing bigger and getting stronger by the day.




To My Sweet Little Bobbie,

Although we only had the pleasure to know you for 9 days, you were deeply loved and we will miss you more than words can express. In the short time you were with us, you brightened every second of our day. We will NEVER forget your beautiful little face and your adorable little cry when you wanted your mommy. You have only been gone a few hours and I already miss you so much. Rest In Peace Baby Girl.

I am very sorry for your loss.  The bond that was formed between you and Bobbie will never be broken. She will live on in a special place in your heart through the memories you shared in your brief time together.  The love you shared knows no boundaries and will light the way for Bobbie at the rainbow bridge.

Please be kind to yourself while you are grieving. Grief is a process that everyone moves through at their own time and pace. You gave Bobbie the one thing she wanted which was a loving secure home.  Sometimes unfortunately there are no answers as to why our baby's are taken from us. Bobbie will live on as an angel looking down on you now.

My heart goes out to you, I know that 9 days is enough time for her to fill your heart and home with her presence. When she went it leaves an emptiness that is so heartbreaking it takes the breathe away. Her tiny little soul will be with you always, nothing can take away your precious memories or the love you will carry for her for the rest of your life.  Please accept my sincere condolences and give that sweet mama a kiss from me, she is missing that precious little too and I cry for her pain. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for letting us know of this tiny angel, she will be mourned by many as she so richly deserves. RIP little one, may you find joy when you join the countless who have gone before you at the Rainbow Bridge, you will be so very missed, but will be held in loving hearts by your family who will let their precious memories comfort them in their time of grief. We have lost a sweet little soul here on earth, but the heavens have gained a beautiful angel!

So very sorry to hear this, so so sad......I guess God needed a tiny little Angel cat, maybe for a child who passed away to play with in Heaven......

It is so hard when we lose a precious kitty, especially one too young. The poor little baby didn't get a chance to truly enjoy life. It is especially hard when there are no answers, just totally unfair. Little Bobbie did know warmth, love, and care. You showed her that and she loved you for it. Little Bobbie's mommy needs you now, as she is mourning her baby's loss as well.

I just want to say Thank You so much for the amazing messages everyone posted about my sweet little Bobbie. Reading the posts made me smile and took away some of the sadness I was feeling! It really makes the whole grieving process a bit easier to deal with just knowing that there are people out there that don't know me or my sweet little kitty and they care enough to take the time out of their day to leave condolences and well wishes. Bless you all and once again, Thank You from the bottom of my heart. Rest In Eternal Peace My Sweet Bobbie! We will NEVER forget you!

How is mama cat doing now?

Poor little one. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Mommy cat is doing better today. The box we kept the kitten in was in my daughter's bedroom and mommy cat will still occasionally go in there and call for her baby. The first 2 days she constantly called trying to get the baby to answer. She started playing with her toys again this morning so that it a really good sign that she is going to be ok.

She's definitely going to be fine! She will feel even better once the mommy hormones fade a bit more and she is spayed. She's lucky to have you.

So glad that mommy cat is doing well. Yes, it is sad seeing her looking for her baby, but with your love and care, she will be just fine. Yes, she is lucky to have you!!
