Cats mouth has gooey stuff

My cat is an outdoor cat and she came back with her mouth having clear gooey stuff and I will provide a photo. What can it be? And is there something I can do?

Looks like mucous. Since she's an outdoor cat she may have licked or eaten something harmful and the mucous is the body's reaction to whatever it is. Perosnally I would bring the cat to a vet ASAP just to have the cat checked out and to start treatment if it turns out that the cat may have eaten somethng harmful.
