Hi, I was hoping I could get some feedback on the quality of ingredients on the food I just picked up for my cat. I'm trying to get her something better than what she was previously eating (costco brand dry, and friskies pate). I just made a stop to my local Pet Valu, and I was originally looking for Wellness Core dry or Innova Evo dry, and they stocked neither. (the Petsmart 30 minutes away had none either
)

I got Merrick Limited Ingredient Dry (Grain and Potato Free)
 Deboned Chicken, Chicken Meal, Chickpeas, Peas, Chicken Fat (Preserved with Mixed Tocopherols), Natural Flavor, Salt, Organic Dried Alfalfa Meal, Dried Yeast Culture, Ground Flaxseed, Choline Chloride, Minerals (Iron Amino Acid Complex, Zinc Amino Acid Complex, Sodium Selenite, Manganese Amino Acid Complex, Copper Amino Acid Complex, Potassium Iodide, Cobalt Proteinate, Cobalt Carbonate), Phosphoric Acid, Taurine, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Vitamins (Vitamin E Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Vitamin A Acetate, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Niacin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin Supplement, Biotin, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Folic Acid, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride), Dried Bacillus Coagulans Fermentation Product, Dried Lactobacillus Plantarum Fermentation Product, Dried Lactobacillus Casei Fermentation Product, Dried Enterococcus Faecium Fermentation Product, Dried Lactobacillus Acidophilus Fermentation Product.
My cat will only be getting 2-3 TBSP of this a day.

As for wet, I've been feeding her the Wellness Grain Free chicken and turkey but she's not crazy about it... I'm trying to offer her beef to see if she likes that better. She is very picky with the wet food so I'm still looking for that holy-grail food that she might clean her dish for.

I picked up a few cans of Performatrin Ultra Grain Free in Beef Stew flavor and Turkey Salmon Duck Pate
Beef Stew: Beef, Beef Broth, Beef Liver, Diced Carrots, Diced Red Peppers, Dried Egg White, Potato Starch, Dried Egg Product, Torula Dried Yeast, Tricalcium Phosphate, Calcium Carbonate, Guar Gum, Natural Flavor, Spinach Flakes, Sweet Potatoes, Peas, Potassium Chloride, Sunflower Oil, Brewers Dried Yeast, Sodium Phosphate, Menhaden Fish Oil, Salt, Taurine, Choline Chloride, Parsley, Sodium Ascorbate (to promote color retention), Flaxseed Oil, Inulin, Dried Kelp, Oregano, Sodium Carbonate, Iron Proteinate, Zinc Proteinate, Dried Blueberries, Dried Cranberries, Dried Apples, Sage, Beta-Carotene, Vitamin E Supplement, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Thiamine Mononitrate, Copper Proteinate, Manganese Proteinate, Sodium Selenite, Niacin, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin A Supplement, Biotin, Potassium Iodide, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Folic Acid.
 Turkey, Salmon, Duck Pate: Turkey, Turkey Broth, Turkey Liver, Salmon, Duck, Carrots, Red Peppers, Natural Flavor, Guar Gum, Sweet Potatoes, Tricalcium Phosphate, Carrageenan, Potassium Chloride, Spinach Flakes, Brewers Dried Yeast, Flaxseed Oil, Sunflower Oil, Menhaden Fish Oil, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Salt, Dried Kelp, Sodium Ascorbate (to promote color retention), Inulin, Iron Proteinate, Zinc Proteinate, Dried Blueberries, Dried Cranberries, Dried Apples, Beta Carotene, Oregano, Parsley, Sage, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Vitamin E Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, Copper Proteinate, Manganese Proteinate, Sodium Selenite, Niacin Supplement, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin A Supplement, Biotin, Potassium Iodide, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Folic Acid.
I've been reading about different cat foods for days and my head is spinning at this point. Basically I'm just looking for some reassurance that I'm not making terrible choices haha.

Thanks! I will take a look at that list. I only keep some dry because she LOVES it, and it allows her to have a mid-day snack while I am at work :)

I know this is a little bit of an old topic but I am highly considering getting the Merrick Limited Ingredients dry food (chicken flavor) for my cat and wanted to see how it's going so far for your cat on it.  Thanks.

Hi! She's been fine on it so far. She likes it and it doesn't upset her stomach. I think her appetite has been better since I started doing all grain free (food and treats). Right now she eats the merrick LID chicken dry and a combination of wellness grain free and fancy feast classics pate.

Great, thanks!  I am considering adding the Merrick L.I.D. wet food into her rotation as well.  She's going to transition from kitten to adult food soon and I already plan on using Whole Earth Farms for both wet and grain-free dry, but want to add at least one more brand into the rotation and I really like the ingredients in Merricks LID.
