Out cat got diabetes, and we read that giving her a treat after her shot would make it much less traumatic for her. The only treat she ever liked was catty shack catnip flavored treats. Well, they stopped selling them here. Is there anything that tastes like them?

You don't give your location.  I've never heard of Catty Shack brand.  Are you in USA or elsewhere?

It's a good thing that the treat is no longer made because the what flour in those treats is bad  for a diabetic cat
(Chicken Liver, Chicken, Chicken By-Product Meal, Wheat Flour, Glycerin, Phosphoric Acid, Salt, Potassium Sorbate And Citric Acid And BHA And Calcium Propionate (Preservatives), Catnip Flavor. Guaranteed Analysis: Crude Protein Minimum 25%, Crude Fat Minimum 9%, Crude Fiber Maximum 2%, Moisture Maximum 30%)

The best treats for a diabetic cat are low carb ones. 100% freeze dried meat or seafood treats are best, such as the PureBites brand. Here are two lists of healthy treats for diabetic cats:

http://www.felinediabetes.com/low-carb-cat-treats.htm

http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/list-of-low-carb-healthy-treats.9172/ (some of the links may no longer work so just Google the name of the treat)

FelineDiabetes.com is a great place to get more info on caring for your diabetic cat so I highly recommend that you check it out and join the board there

We are going to try some treats from the vet, but she is extremely picky. She doesn't like anything! Real meat is worth licking, but she doesn't care for eating it. Are temptations ok for her? That is the only thing we haven't tried.

No, Temptations are just as bad for a diabetic cat with the corn, rice, corn gluten meal, and wheat flour in it. Plus there has been many instances where Temptations have caused cats to become ill. Thre are some threads here on TCS: http://www.thecatsite.com/newsearch?search=temptations&type=35

With diabetic cats you wan to avoid all forms of grains and starches because those will cause elevated blood glucose levels which you do not want. Even "vet treats" may not be sutiable for a diabetic cat.

Please join the FDMB baord and ask for suggestions on treats to give to your picky cat.

Treats don't necessarily need to be food. A treat can be something like a toy or catnip or a brushing or a bit of CET pet toothpaste. You just want to give something so your cat associates insulin injection with something postiive. A little bit of low carb canned food can be a treat. In fact, since insulin is given twice a day many people do the insulin injection first and then give the cat the bowl of food right afterwards so the cat learns that he / she wil get something yummy after sitting for a strange quick poke.

Alright, thanks. We will use catnip. She loves it. At the vet when we were being taught how to give her insulin, she didn't feel anything.

If your diabetic cat loves catnip, I think that is your best bet.  No glucose spikes, just a happy kitty!

Most cats don't notice the insulin injection, especially if you use a really thin gauge needle like 31 gauge. Giving insulin is quick, no more than a second or two.

Since you're feeding the cat right after giving the insulin, unless otherwise told by the vet, I'd give the catnip as a reward after the cat eats. Double the reward to look forward to

Once you get the hang of it, giving the injection is really easy and most cats hardly react!
