I believe I have a font addiction! I just noticed I currently have 272 fonts installed! I've kinda become obsessed with them. Recently I filled up 4 floppy disks with fonts I didnt want to delete but that I didnt think I'd use for a while.

I download fonts all the time for my scrapbooking, and I have come across a lot of free ones.

I was just working on a new website and was thinking how I needed more fonts. I only have the ones that came on my computer.
I got a question for ya...when I choose a font, a list comes up with like 4 fonts seperated with commas. The program will only choose the first font on the list and I can't get to the other three. Any idea what is going on here??
Do you have any good font sites where I can download some new fonts?

I've never had that happen before, so I'm not sure why it's doing that. What type of computer do you have and is it windows?

Lets see:
www.acidfonts.com (also has mailing list to let you know when theres new fonts added.

www.typenow.net Go to the little pull down bar thing at the top right corner. Choose where you want to go for the fonts.

Those are the only ones off the top of my head. Just do a yahoo search for fonts. Make sure it's for mac fonts if you have a mac computer and windows fonts if you have windows.
ALSO you will need to have the winzip program. Most fonts are in shrunk into those zip files to make them faster to send online. go to www.winzip.com

Since you only have the ones that came with your computer, I am assuming you dont know anything about installing fonts, if so let us know.

Do you mean when you are using an html editor? I know that it does the comma thing as in, the first one is the first choice, but if the viewer's computer doesn't have that one, it will go to the second, then third, etc. To have just one font choice I'd erase the ones you don't want from the html code.. If you're talking about a text editor, sometimes they categorize them into font families with the comma thing but I don't know why...

I have a lot of fonts for scrapbooking. And I have some alphabet images too. They are SOOOOO cool! I get those at www.letteringdelights.com. They have fonts there too. You can get a few free then you have to buy what you want. But they're mostly $2 each. You use them in lettering delights font or alphabet viewer then copy them and paste them into whatever you want. I've even used them on my website before so they work there! Maybe I'll throw a few examples out there for you all!

I'd like to see them. I'm not even sure what they are.

Here are some of the alphafonts I have. They are more like jpg files but you can type what you want in their browser and it automatically makes it in the alphafont you want.

With the free browser you get on their website. You can get it with 2 free alphafonts and after that you have to buy the alphafonts. Here's a little demonstration how it works. I usually paste whatever I make in Publisher or PrintMaster. You could use any program though. Even paint. BTW... feel free to copy your name I made for you but make sure you save it to your own computer!

Here's another example and one of my favorite bumper sticker sayings. If you're not familiar with Utah, it's a play on Utah being the "Beehive" state plus 65% Mormon. The laws here are sometimes kind of conservative! Thus... The Beehave State! Don't know if you can see it but the letters are honeycomb and have little bees on them. I love it!
