Hello I am the owner of a 13 yr old sphynx cat and he is constantly squatting down to pee however he can only get out a few drops every time. We have taken him into the doctor and they have done urine tests, we will get the results in 5 ish days. We are giving him Antibiotics and pain relievers but I am in search of home remedies to help my cat get through this because I would still like a few more good years with him

Welcome to TCS sphynxman119. Sorry your boy is having some trouble. The waiting and worry sure is hard. Keep doing what the doc ordered and hopefully you'll get some good news soon. I know this does not help much. It will help your cat to sense that you are calm until you know more. I hope to hear something good soon.

There really isn't much more you can do until the results come back.  Increased fluid intake helps with all urinary issues.  Wet food is preferable.  Some kitties will drink more with a fountain and others don't.  Some won't even drink from a fountain.

thank you. I will stay calm. We got the results back and it says there is nothing wrong with him. However he is leaking urine all the time. What would help stop that. Could we use diapers? Or is there something that would stop it completely. Because I would like to cuddle with my cat and not have to worry about him urinating on my arm or waking up with a big wet spot on my bed. I also feel really guilty about making a bed for him outside the hallway and closing my door.

If not showed up on the lab tests then it probably something called idiopathic cystitis.  http://www.petmd.com/cat/conditions...lammation_feline_interstitial_cystitis?page=2

The exact cause isn't known but stress is thought to be an aggravating factor.  Has anything changed recently?  Things like feliway dispensers help.  Daily play sessions help.  Plenty of larger litter boxes help.  Increased fluid intake with a wet food diet helps..

Some kitties are given amitriptyline.  You could also ask your vet about giving Glucosamine.  It can help heal the bladder lining.  As a last resort there is a surgery that can be done where the lining of the bladder is scraped.

Have you told the vet that your kitty seems to have become incontinent.  That is extreme.  Frequent small amounts is the more common symptom.

We have been putting his painkillers and antibiotics in some soft food for him to eat. I don't see him drink as often as he used to although I will try to get him to to that. If we ever go to the vet again I will be sure to ask about those. I will also look into a larger box and put out fresh water every day. Again. Should we look into diapers or could we use something else. Our house is becoming more stinky as the days go on. As well as washing almost all blankets around the house.
