Discharges from cat

My cat has been having discharges for the past while. They differ in color, some of them are whitish while some are more red. Sometimes it looks like she's distressed in terms of her looking like she's trying to poop (the discharge comes out after her pushing). Other than that, she seems fairly normal. She's eating normally and acting normally. She plays around like she's healthy, but her discharges and other pushing seems to be the issue. As for any odor, the whitish ones don't seem to have an odor. There was a more reddish one that was on her seat and it had a weird smell, but that might be because she sits there all the time. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

She sounds constipated. When was the last Vet visit? I think she needs to be seen.

Discharge of any kind is abnormal and worrying. Please take her to the Vet.

Is she spayed?  Are you sure the discharge is not coming from her vulva?  I agree that she needs to see a vet.

How old is your cat? If she is not spayed she may have pyometra, which is a potentially deadly infection of the uterus.

If she is spayed, she may need worming, or have an infection in her intestinal tract and need meds for that.

As stated above, discharge is not normal. She needs to see a vet asap.

Please update us when you can!

No she's not currently spayed at the moment but we're planning on doing it asap.

Anyway, a bit of an update. It could be more of constipation because she's interested in going to the litter box more often. She also pooped earlier and the poop had blood on it. Her discharges are still active and have a more reddish color than its whitish one in the past. They have a foul odor as well.

It sounds like she has an infection in her uterus called pyometria. This is fatal if untreated. She needs to go to a vet NOW.

Do you know some of the primary symptoms of pyometra? I looked up the symptoms of constipation and she fits the details of it a lot more.. such as straining to defecate or going to the litter box without any results. I've also found that the discharge/blood primarily comes out after she tries straining to defecate. It's not something random. Either ways I'll try taking her to the vet asap.

Even if it's in her colon she is having an issue that needs immediate treatment.

Also, are you sure she's not pregnant and miscarrying? That may account for straining as well.

Are you sure of where the discharge is coming out of?

I think she may have pyometria and may be straining because she feels pressure and is uncomfortable. Can you get her to the vet today?
