Hi guys!

So my sneaky cat stole a buffalo wing bone from my plate and started chewing it up, thought nothing of it cause it's happened before without incident, but when I turn to look at him, he's drooling and pawing at his mouth, so I assume he got part of the bone stuck in his mouth. I don't know where or how to help because he won't let me help him..what should I do?

His paws and mouth are full of drool currently, and he's outside under a car occasionally pawing at his mouth. Will it come out on its own or what should I do? I cannot afford a vet- I just went in debt with him over abscess surgery he required.

Thanks in advance :)

Unfortunately he really needs to go to the vet. He could choke or starve to death. He is also in a lot of pain. This is an emergency, sorry to say!

Cooked bones splinter very easily. Your cat may have gotten a splinter stuck between a tooth or in the gum. You really need to take your cat to the vet ASAP to have the bone removed. It wil not come out on it's own and your cat will just be in pain and drool and won't eat which will can cause additional health issues. Please bring your cat inside and keep him inside where he is safe for the time being.

UPDATE---

I wrapped him in a towel when he came inside and pried his mouth open and found the bone stuck on the roof of his mouth!! He's not drooling anymore and seems to be doing okay now, he's back to grooming himself and eating his cat food :)
