I need some help to figure out how far into the pregnancy my cat is , you can feel the kittens and you can see them very actively moving round sometimes wene Thunder is on her side . She is eating a lot and has the choice of three nests but she isn't really interested in any of them . Thunder has started cleaning herself and does love her belly being rubbed . Does anyone know how far she is in her pregnancy ?

If you are seeing/feeling kittens move, she's at least 7 weeks along. Once you see them, cats generally have 2-3 weeks to go, as cat pregnancy lasts 65-68 days.

In my room there are afew boxes and there is a white laundry bin and a pink one next to each other Infront of my wardrobe , there is a small space but big anough for the cat to lay down in between my pink rounded box and my wardrobe . Thunder goes down there every now and again but doesn't poo or anything down there . Would that be her nesting spot ?She does have a kitten ing box just Infront of that box but tends to lay on the floor Infront of the kittening box .

The mom's don't go into the nest until they need it.  They want the nest to be clean and do not want to attract predators too early.   Do you have the supplies needed just in case?

My cat has shown nesting behaviour this after noon , she was very eagerly trying to get under the fire place (it never gets lit) and down the side of the washing machine and in gaps like that . She is eating and has a box in a closet that she likes laying in . Could she give birth tonight . I know that some cats do eat before birth ?

If she is trying to nest, she is getting closer. Is she having contractions? Labor can take hours if it has actually started.

Try to encourage her towards using her nest in the closet.

Breathing heavily is a sign of labor. She may not want water right now.

Ok, good. Put her food, water, and litter nearby in case she wants any of them.

She's probably purring through the pain of contractions.

Every few minutes Thunder sites up in her box and looks at me , as soon as I go over to her and stroke her head she layes back down and starts purring loudly ? Is this her way of telling me to comfort her while she may be having contractions ?

It sounds like it to me! Many cats want to be comforted by their favorite human during labor. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I would probably sit with her if it makes her more comfortable and rub her tummy if she lets u I read that it helps stimulate them to move things along also ull be able to feel if she is contracting that's what the article said

Yes, sit with her if you can. I'll be around for a few hours. Not quite 7pm here in Florida, USA.

Where are you located?
