Vomiting and diarrhea after stealing food

My male has NEVER.had any stomach issues. Yesterday, I noticed that one of my cats had gotten the lid off and eaten a significant amount if angel food cake. I assume it was my malen because he had loose stools. At around 3 am, he vomited, what appeared ro be some food. I didn't withhold food yesterday but I will today. I can't be completely sure that he got into the cakee but if that ia the culprit, what could have been so irritating? Before seeing any symptoms I threw away the container, so I don't have access to the ingredients but I could call the store. In general though, aside from flour, augar and egg white, what could be causing his symptoms? I'll probably end up at the vet anyway.

I imagine gorging himself on the cake has probably made him sick.  He should be okay, but make sure he stays hydrated.
