Ok. They need a heating element now. Can you add that to the nest now?

Do you need help finding a low cost clinic to have mom spayed?

Feeding week-old kittens around the clock is a huge and tiring job. Your best bet is to get the mother cat back inside and close her up in a room with them.

It's good you are getting kitten formula to have on hand.

Do try to get mom back inside and do not let her out again. She needs to feed the kittens for 3 more weeks until they can eat solids.

Mom may need some time to adjust. Being in heat could also distract her. Please don't keep her from the kittens if she comes back, and please do everything you can to get her back. Closing her in a room with them would be helpful.

Did you play the kitten cries outside? Did you add a heating element to the nest?

Did the vet show you how to feed and to help them eliminate?

Their weights are good for now. She's clearly been feeding them well. All moms take breaks from their kittens, but should not be let outside.

If you take over, they need feeding every 2 hours AROUND THE CLOCK for the next 3 weeks.

Have you fed them yet?

I just meant that you should make every effort to get mom back inside and with the kittens.

If she's been outside, you may want to spay her sooner rather than later.

Okay, good! Do you know how much to feed, or do you need help with that?

M mommykitty

They are used to mama. Is she back yet?

A syringe may be easier for now. They need 8mLs per ounce of body weight apiece, each 24 hours. So if a kitten weighs 7 ounces, it needs 56 mLs of formula each 24 hours. If you feed every 2 hours, it would get 4.6 mLs at each feeding.

Let me know if you need further help!
