Well my Heather had to go out of town to watch her Dad's place and spend some time with him because he is going overseas with the National Guard. She's going to be down there for a bit
.

So now it's just me and Zero. I bet he's pretty lonely since he's used to someone being there for most of 24 hours. I'm almost finished with work, but in the last 24 hours, I've been home for a whole one hour and twenty minutes!! I had six hours of college, an hour drive each way, four hours of class at work and then ten hours at work, all since yesterday at 8am!!

Heather says he'll be fine, but I wish I could have another kitten for him to play with. She says that its silly because outside you don't see cats together, they're always alone.

Well I know he'll be fine, but I wish I had more to keep him entertained. I made a tent for him out of my comforter, that's his newest fun thing. I think he sleeps a whole lot while I'm out because when I come home, usually he's waiting for me by the door but he'll be all sleepy-eyed...

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
I'm also away most of the day with being at work, and Rosie seems pleased when i get home.

Try and play with Ziggy. I always put some time aside for Rosie on an evening, even if its throwing her soft balls up the stairs for her to chase. I know it must be hard especially the hours you've been working

Right here! :)
I´m sure Zero will be fine. The two of you will keep each other company whenever you are home, and before you know it, Heather will be back

Awwww, I'm so sorry! BUT here are a few things you can do. Don't make a big deal about leaving and arriving, it'll help Zero miss you less. Set aside special playtime that's not too close to leaving or arriving. Hide treats around the house when Zero's not looking - he'll have fun when he finds the surprise!

Zero probably is a little lonesome. I never see outside cats together, but our gang inside does play with each other, sleep on each other and hang out together. Just remind yourself it's temporary, and tell Zero that too!

Well last week was the crazy one, luckily I should be pretty free from here out. Just two more classes at work (dumb time management stuff, I'm not learning anything I didn't already know and implement, but I am getting a free Pocket PC out of the deal) @ 4 hours each, and only classes on Wednesday (but long days).

Today Zero and I watched LOTR: The Two Towers together until the Orcs and Goblins freaked him out too much. It was probably my fault for having the volume too far up and the walls shaking... I hope it didn't hurt his ears!!

Well I don't make as big of a deal about me arriving as he does. I think as soon as he hears the garage door he gets by the door leading into the laundry room waiting for me. By the time I'm out of my car, grab my things, disarm the alarm and open the door he's meowing up a storm!

I am the one that makes a big deal out of leaving though, but he doesn't seem to pay too much attention, somtimes I can't even find him (less now that he can't get under my bed because the frame was bent and it is now on the floor).

I like the idea of hiding treats! I'll have to try that! I need to pick him up some more tomorrow anyhow.

Thanks everyone!
