I adopted a 2 month old at the end of June. Gray domestic short hair, male, fixed.
He has gotten in the habit of biting and attacking my hands and feet.
I have tried everything I can think of to make him stop but it won't work.
Things I have tried:
1. Bought a big stuffed animal (about his size) so he can attack. It works but after I let go of it he losses his interest.
2. Blowing in his face when he bites me. (To annoy him but not hurt him. )
3. A water bottle. I hate this idea, but I tried it. He stops what he's doing only when I have the bottle in my hand. Once I put it down he continues to attack me.
4. Gently tap his nose and say "NO" in a firm voice, but he won't let go when I do that.

It is getting to the point where he is making me bleed. I bought kitty caps for his nails which will stop him from scratching me. But he loves to still hold on me to and bite.
I feel like he was taken from his mom way too early and now considers me his mother. Following me, meowing at me, grooming me. So I feel this is his way of "playing" with his mommy.
I'm hoping it is only a kitten thing and he will stop eventually. But I'm not sure.

Any advice would be great!
One of my many wounds he gave me..this was last night he reopened it during the night.

How much, how often, and how are you playing with the little guy?

Would you consider getting another kitten?

I would say multiple times a day. Hard to keep track lol
Happens in the morning, evenings and even late into the night.
I use his stufffed toy like its an animal walking around, I move it fast and he attacks it. But once I let go of it, he losses interest. I try and play with him multiple times a day. I also have one of those string on a stick toys that he loves to play with. As well as crumpled up news paper for him to bat around.
I have considered it, but unfortunately, I live with my mother at the moment, and it would be too much. She didn't even want me getting this kitten let along another one.

Couple more similar stuffed toys, and a couple pieces of rope about 16" long (tie a knot in each end).  Drag the rope, dangle the rope.  LET GO of the rope if he jumps to grab it.  (so he gets to catch something, and not your hand).
When he pounces the stuffed toy, just keep your hand on the back side of the toy and wiggle it while he's attacking/munching on it.  (as if you are scrubbing him with the stuffed animal).
Let go of it, and grab another, change his attention to the newly moving toy.

Then the rope, then another toy, etc.

When sitting there playing with him.  Just STOP and don't move your arms, hands, or feet.
Any hand BITES get a NO!!!  (either get up and leave immediately, or stuff a toy in his face and wiggle it).

Play with him until he just can't play any more.

He's a kitten, it's what they do, he will grow out of it.  But, slowly.

Wear the kitty out. Get good at stuffing a toy in his face instead of a hand.  And loud NO!!!  when he gets you.

I shall go pick up a couple more toys, thank you. :)
I do wiggle the toy around and he loves it lol He lays down and starts to kick at it with his back paws.
I will try and keep one of the toys around me at all times just in case he has the urge to attack me .

Him on his back kicking and grabbing and biting.

You have a stuffed toy in your hand holding it to his chest and wiggling it.

That's winding him up and encouraging him.

However, he's a kitten and your going to do that anyway. (you can't help not to play with him, therefore, you can't complain when your looking for the bandaids.)
Just "play" seems to get faster and faster, rougher and rougher, and before you know it?   You should realize you may have caused most of the Hyper.

The swinging the rope around in the floor will keep him at arms length away, and wear him out the fastest.
