Good morning!
 And Happy Friday!

Easy question: When do you do your grocery shopping? Do you go once a week or do you find yourself stopping in "for bread and milk" a few times a week. Do you go morning, afternoon, or evening?

We hit the grocery store after work on Mondays and we buy everything we need at that time. Sometimes on Saturday, I may find us needing some eggs or 100-calorie buns, but that's rare, and usually, one trip a week works out well. If I was going by myself and didn't have to work, I'd probably go first thing on Monday morning. But I do work and Rick likes to go along for the shopping.....Monday afternoons right after work seem to work best for us.

I go on Friday nights and unless I forget something or find I really need something, that one trip is it. DH used to go with me too so back then we went on Saturday afternoons.

When I was physically going to work I would go once a week early Saturday morning.  Now I find myself doing a little here and there.  I do still go in the morning because it tends to be less crowded.  I avoid Fridays and Sundays unless I go really early in the morning.  The supermarket I go to seems to be more crowded on those two days.

Varies. I tend to run out of milk early in the week so I'll head to the independent grocery store after work to pick up a quart of locally produced milk. While I'm there I'll buy fruit and veggies and maybe baked goods. Occasionally I'll stop at the supermarket right by work to pick up a few things but for a supermarket is has a really poor selection of everything
Maybe for the local college students and people who can afford the $$$$ apartments in the area and are never home to cook, it's great. I usually tag along with Mom to the other supermarket chain or Wegman's on weekends. Mom usually goes in the morning when there aren't a lot of people.

I used to go every week on Thursday mornings because the sale papers come out on Wednesday afternoon. Now, I don't go regularly. We have to pass the grocery on Wednesday and Sunday when we go to church, so lots of times, we stop on the way home and I dash in for bread or milk. Then I go when I am out of something to cook. When I do go, I stock up on meats that are on sale and freeze them.

I go early Saturday mornings. Not too early because the shelves frequently aren't stocked well enough - but usually by 10am.

Sunday if things get messed up with my schedule.

I have long weekdays so there's no way I could pop in for things we run out of.  Thankfully, there's a CVS and Walgreen's up the block where we can pick up essentials like milk and bread.

Usually around the middle of the week and one of the weekend days - pretty much always later morning/early afternoon.

For little things, I'll just pick it up right after work at anytime of the weekday, since I'm right beside a drugstore and grocery store.

I usually do one big trip and 1-2 small trips in between or DH stops after work.  I prefer to go on Monday or Tuesday but we will go on Saturday or Sunday during the winter so DH can drive.  It's less crowded in the afternoon on a weekday and Tuesday is Dollar Pretzel Day at Auntie Anne's inside Walmart.
I don't always get us pretzels afterward; but it's a treat the kids really love after having to put up with shopping for who knows how long.

But with having small kids and a cereal-eating husband; we go through 2-3 gallons of milk a week.  So mid-week stops are pretty much necessary.  i prefer to go to a regular grocery store for that though.  They usually have better prices on milk too.  And their meat is better.

Hubby does the main grocery shopping once a week, usually in the early morning. I stop and pick up things like milk or bread on my home from work in the afternoon.

I don't have a car, so I shop once a month.  I either catch a ride with a neighbor in the cool months, or take a cab.  I've learned to make VERY good lists!  Once in a great while I can catch a ride during the month to the store at the end of the road, and grab a few additional items.

I get all my cat food online. I get a huge delivery once a month and I feel so sorry for that delivery guy who has to navigate our tiny little lane in his truck and the unload all those boxes. He knows I store most of it in a shed outside, so he puts the boxes in there himself if I'm not home when he calls.

I get all the human food on Saturday evening. It's the only time Mr Husband and I are both free and as the closest supermarket is about ten miles away I need him to drive me down there.

There's no popping out for bread and milk here, going shopping for anything is such a hassle.

i shop once every 4-7 weeks, and always on a saturday. it's usually late morning until mid to late afternoon.

now what i'd prefer is to shop once every 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 weeks, on a weekday, and early-ish in the morning. get it all done and over with early in the day, and when the stores aren't as busy.

This is a good question and one I've wondered about. I shop about every 10 days. I tend to buy more than a week's worth at a time, so I make myself go a few extra days to use it all up. Right now, the only thing I'm running low on is cat food, and I'm hoping I can hold out on that until Tuesday.
