The delivery delayed some is quite common. Cats seems to manage this better than humans.  The other side is more tricky - kittens dont manage well premature deliveries, much worse than humans.

So unless there are something alarming going on, the advice is to observe, but you can wait and see even several days..

A plug coming out is a sign for nearing yes, but its not always as in the books, the delivery coming practically immediately. The plug may come out even several days before.

So you are sure it should be the 28th of july?    Our forumists are seldom in this lucky situation.

But there are tricks to get a new count, for example when the nipples did reddened, and how long they have felt the kittens move - you can usually feel them 3 weeks, and see them move about 2 weeks...

The last days(s) before delivery the momma usually drops - ie seems suddenly smaller, the basketball for adults becoming a basketball for kids, or even an american fotboll for kid-sized...

Please continue to report and ask questions!

Is it possible that I'm seeing some flea dirt in the first photo? I know it's probably hard for her to get back there to clean.

Did she get out of the house and get pregnant? Can you make sure she stays in until the kittens are weaned?

Ok, so she'll just need to stay in at least until the kittens are 8 weeks.

I would also recommend running a flea comb over her just in case.

It is likely her mucus plug. Is there any odor?

She is on day 66. Cats can go up to about 70 days safely. My guess is that your cat will be going into labor anytime now. You may have kittens this weekend. She has probably been having some pre-labor pains.

Do you have a nest set up for her?

Actually, counting from May 26th, today would be Day 65. Since mom is in no distress, try to to be patient. The kittens will come in the next few days. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Vet said u have to add 6 day from when there mated for the fertilised as it take 6 days for the when the egg is fertilised in the uterine tube. It then travels down the oviduct and enters the uterus, on about the sixth day of development. In the uterus it is covered by special cells that are implanted in the uterus wall. Certain cells cluster together at one end forming the embryo (the new kitten) whilst the other parts will make up the placenta. The placenta is the connection between the mother and kitten.
