Hi, I took in a pregnant cat about a week ago, and she has been sleeping all day for the past 3 days.
When do you think she will give birth? I thought she would give birth right away when I first took her in, but it seems like her pregnancy is still going. She lays down a lot, she just sleeps so much xD

That's a big cat. If she was outside before you took her in she must be exhausted.   Here is an article that will tell you what signs to look for and a couple others.

She looks very close to the end! It shouldn't be too much longer!

Oh my! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Have you weighed them? They need to gain 6-10 grams each per day.

Do you have kitten formula and a small, 1-2 mL, needleless syringe? You may need to supplement a runt or two. Keep a close eye!

Please be vigilant about this, as kittens go downhill quickly without enough food.

7 is a big litter. Please see that mom has as much wet food and kitten chow as she wants, and let us know how it's going.

Hey guys! So all the kittens are healthy, my roommate didn't want me to keep all the cats in the apartment, and I sent them away to a foster/rescue organization for a while until I found a new place. All 7of them are healthy, there were 4girls and 3boys. I moved into a new apartment and took in the Mama cat Pickle, and one boy Dill. Ideally it would have been best for them to stick together untill 8wks but the rescue organization ran out of place, so I had to pick them up kind kf early. (it's a local rescue group run by one lady, and she takes in homeless dogs and cats and keeps them at her big house) One of the girls got adopted already, so I'm hoping that the rest will find a place soon ! Dill is 7wks old! Here is a picture

Very cute! [emoji]128149[/emoji]

So are the rest of the kittens with you, or at a rescue?

The rest of them stayed at the rescue place! If they don't get adopted soon, I might foster one or two of them since I've been working from home. I've been thinking about the kittens I left there [emoji]128557[/emoji].
