She is licking away mucus quite frequently now. Laying under my childrens toy as well. Maybe this is the start?

Clear or slightly bloody discharge is common during labor.

How is she acting?

Mostly normal. Almost like she is in heat when I touch her back. Putting her butt up and stuff.

How long is normal to leak mucus? Is this probably plug or should i be concerned for infection?

Cats can have discharge for a few days prior to giving birth. It is their bodies preparing to expel what's inside.

Does the discharge have a foul odor at all?

Can you post a picture of the discharge on a napkin please? I'm a little concerned.

Yes, I will try to in a little bit. I will probably place a call to the vet as well. Kittens are still moving around.

I agree she needs to see the vet. I do think she may have an infection. The discharge has been going on too long to be anything else. Cloudy discharge with blood, green, or yellow is not normal. It indicates infection.

It would be best if she were put on antibiotics. I also think her kittens are due almost any day now. An x-ray would show whether the infection is in her uterus or not, and if the kittens are ready. I don't want the infection to harm the kittens.

Please ask to actually bring her in to be seen today, and let me know the outcome.

Yes, she is going in right away in the morning. He wants an accurate weight and will probably start abx he said. I havent seen any more discharge since this morning. Kitten movement seems less but shes also really close to the end.

I'm glad you'll be taking her in. She's had discharge on and off for weeks as I read through your thread. That's not normal in pregnant cats.

Keep us posted!

Remi hasn't had discharge in 48 hours or so. Her mammary glands are enlarged and she has colostrum now!

Since she hasnt had any more discharge and is otherwise normal we postponed the visit. The vet and i had a long phone conversation and are staying in touch.

No kittens yet. Today marks 6 weeks from noticing her nipples pink up and 3 weeks of kitten movement. Hoping they come soon!
