I'm sure you're all familiar with my cat's issues. The nasal discharge, facial deformity, problems with Piroxicam, pumped with Clavamox, Doxycycline gone wrong, complete inability to eat.

Then I took her as a last resort (since I currently cannot afford a rhinoscopy) for her to get dexamethasone and TYLAN shot. And in a few days she was back to normal, eating on her own, no more discharge, facial deformity has gone.

Has the occasional huffing sniffles. The first few days sneezed a lot but now its down to a minimum. She started acting like herself walking around, waking me up etc

About four days ago she suddenly started hiding under the couch like she does when she's sick. I noticed her breathing had gotten louder and monitored for discharge but there doesn't seem to be a lot and I remove the small dried out scabs on her right nostril. Well About a day or so ago, she started coming back out..coming to the kitchen when i prepare food but not eating. But relatively in good spirits and alert.

But today morning, I heard her crying way more urgently than she does (not like screaming but like she REALLY wanted something) only to find she's standing at the front door. I only go outside with her if she's carefully monitored and I've checked pollen count...and while she does going on the occasion I take her...today she has been crying at the door nonstop! And when I get there she'll start purring.

The kicker is...it is raining today. But I'm confused because we've had rainy days before and she's never this determined to go outside. My brother let her out by mistake and I found her sitting on water trying to drink from the gutter.

She's been crying on and off since 8 (it's around 3 now) and had momentarily stopped. When I went downstairs to make tea she runs out from under the couch and to the front door. So I take her out and she seemed a bit disappointed that there was no longer water in the gutter. She then started running elsewhere while crying.

She is now crying again and keeps going to the gutter to try drink the water but I’m afraid it will cause her more problems so I’m keeping her from it...and note that she is barely drinking the water I try to give her at home. I’m getting worried now as she’s crying a lot…but when I come to the door and pick her up she starts purring.I’m confused.

Has anyone had this problem with their cat? And again this is not normal for her at all

This may be too simple but is the water in the gutter running?  I haven't heard of a cat being this determined but some cats prefer running water.  Have you tried turning a faucet on and see if she will drink from that.

Yes the water was running. I tried to run the faucet and she's only mildly amused. I put her in the tub and she'll sit there a bit but will get out.

At first I thought it was just the rain but it seems more serious. She's now refusing all water. The weird crying is still there I'm taking her to get fed at the vet tomorrow and have some fluids since her skin and gums have changed color too.

Her demeanor has changed so quickly. She seems weaker and disinterested in things but she is purring a lot and lets me carry her. I think she is trying to tell me something but I'm in denial.

Oh well we'll see what they say :(
