A few weeks ago, I heard a strange noise coming from downstairs.  When I got down there, I saw my male, vigorously pawing at the window.  A chipmunk had jumped onto the outside ledge and appeared to be taunting him.  My cat would paw and the chipmunk would stand up on its hind legs and scratch at window in response. This went on for quite some time, with the chipmunk getting down in between for a snack, then jumping back up.  It was really amusing. Over the next week, my cat continued to look for his pal.  The little cat teaser did come back a couple of times, even once at the back door.  I haven't seem it lately but my cat continues to look for it.  I feel bad for him, losing another playmate after my brother took his cats when he moved.  Nevertheless, it was a Youtube-worthy experience and I would like to post it but I can't get the video out of Photos  on Mac.  The file is too big and it's stuck there.  If anybody knows what I can do to transfer it to my desktop, please let me know.  I'd love to share it.

have you tried uploading the video to youtube? if you can do that, then you could click the film icon and copy/paste the url into the pop-up window, then submit.

okay, so i did some looking around on the internet for a solution to this problem. it seems to have to do with the way mac's are formatted, and that these days we can (much) more easily reach or exceed the file size limit -- with home movies and large files. there were a couple approaches to this problem that i came across, but this solution seems to be the easiest -- http://www.mactricksandtips.com/2010/01/copying-files-error-code-0.html     now, i haven't used the split&concat app myself. the info i found is that the program version 3.0 is not compatible with OS X 10.4 or earlier.

i also looked into splitter apps that are available from the App Store, and found RAR Archiver. so this might be something to check out too. again, i haven't used this app myself.

basically, you can split your video into segments that individually don't exceed the file size limit. then you can move the segments to your desktop and upload them. these apps say they can re-join the segments together again, but there are some reviewers who've said they've had problems doing that or weren't able to do that.

Thanks. I will look into it.  I thought Apple simplified things but I've had an easier time with Windows and Android.
