By a toy, i just mean a ribbon on a stick. lol my cat Kitty is tired of her old squeaking mouse on a stick. But, my moms cat Elsa, who has NEVER wanted to play, seems to be interested in playing. She sits near us and tries to bat the ribbon away from Kitty, but as soon as she does this, Kitty gives her a nasty look and walks away.

Kitty likes being the boss of the house. She likes being fed first, brushed and cared for first. She will even turn her back if i try to comb her after Elsa, until i apologize and cajole her. lol

Its not that they dont get along, they do play together all the time.  Kitty just doesnt want Elsa playing with HER toy. I tried making another toy, but Elsa is determined to go after Kittys toy.

I want to help my mom out and play with her cat. is there anyway to get them to play at the same time?

We have a string toy for our cats, and sometimes all three of them play with it at once, but I wouldn't know how to get them to do it intentionally.

I'm not sure I understand the problem--why can't Elsa and Kitty be played with separately?
