Has anyone tried using a pet cam to watch over your cat while at work or just away from home?

These are such nifty gadgets I'd like to write about them and would love to incorporate quotes by our members. If you have used one, could you please let me know which model and what the experience was like for you?

If haven't, can you please indicate why? Adding a poll, as well. I'm curious!

I have to admit that I have been guilty of spying on my cats.

I had bought the first camera to monitor their food and water while I am away on travel. It worked so well that I decided to purchase the 2nd one spy on their favorite lounging spot.

The camera has a motion detection and would inform me when there is movement. As the cat lady, I enjoy taking a break and watching what they are doing. Makes me feel less home sick when I am away.

Through the cam, I was able to learn about their quirks. I discovered that although there are two bowls, only one cat would eat at a time. The other would patiently sit outside the kitchen. And somehow they have come to an agreement that they do not eat and drink in one sitting. At the end I decided to move one of the bowl out of the kitchen so they can both eat at the same time.

I am using Samsung SmartCam if that matters.
