How is your cat doing now? Is she responsive? How much blood?

Agreed. This is an emergency.

If your cat had pyometra what were the symptoms? My cat has been acting perfectly normal. The vet said that with pyo they act lethargic. Vomiting, etc.

The vet said this could be from a uti or from being in heat. I have been doing research and can't get a clear answer because many say that cats dont bleed when in heat but others say that they do

Can you answer the questions above? You said you found her laying on the floor. Was she unresponsive? How much blood was it?

She usually sleeps up on her cat tree. So I thought she was too weak to get up there, but she has been climbing on it and acting normal now. She is only almost 1 1/2 years old and the vet said pyo is almost always seem in older cats. Im waiting to hear back from my regular vet though. Anyone have experience with pyo? What symptoms did your cat have anything like this with no pus?

I'm not sure if its colitis which she has already had symptoms of before or a pyo. When I wrote this thread I had just woken up and was half asleep. I saw my cat and the blood and I was panicked. It looked like the blood was coming from the vulva but I couldn't really tell. I worry about pyo because she has already had a few heats and hasn't been bred yet. I have heard that it is an emergency and needs immediate treatment. I have given her a bath now and and there is no more blood for now but I keep checking

You have done the right thing in scheduling an appointment with your vet.  Just keep an eye on her and let us know what the vet says.

I don't think it has to be older cats to be pyometria. I also think you should really reconsider breeding her if she has colitis. It can be exacerbated by pregnancy, and she shouldn't be bred if she's not in optimal health. Let us know what the vet says!

The vet said the colitis symptoms were probably just from her diet which I changed and then they stopped.

Colitis is not caused by diet. It can be exacerbated by diet. Your vet is correct that you could be seeing symptoms from certain food, but if it is truly colitis it is constant.

Then its probably not colitis. As the diet change stopped it. Since its back I have to change her diet again.
