Hey All!! So we are having some troubles with feeding our now 4 month old kitten. Ever since we got her she has seemed to prefer dry food but does not seem to drink much water so we also feed her wet food. Lately we have noticed she barely touches the wet food, we have tried switching flavors and even brands and while she will usually eat one serving of it, she usually leaves every other serving untouched to dry up. We have also been leaving 1/4 cup of dry food out right before bed for her to eat whenever till the next night which usually last her until lunch the next day. Should we change her feeding schedule? Maybe we should do wet food when we get up 1/3 can, then leave a little dry food out for while we are at work, take the dry food when we get home and put 1/3 cup of wet food, then finally before bed another 1/3 can of wet food? Opinions?

If she prefers dry and has it available then that's what she'll eat, so I like your idea of offering her wet first thing in the morning, then dry while you're gone, then wet again when you're home. Just make sure she's getting enough because cats CAN be very stubborn when it comes to their food and a growing kitten needs her food (as all cats do). You can even try crushing some of her dry food and sprinkling on top of the wet food to entice her

Yeah so today we took her dry food away in the morning and out wet food out when e got ready about half a can. Then she ate about half of that before I left and I put dry food out. I think I will put a bit more dry food in before bed because she almost always sleeps through the night. Then I repeat tomorrow so only feeding half a can od wet per day but also a half cup of dry per the recommendation on the label
