Hello,
I have a 5 year old long haired female cat. I've recently had her hair shaved due to the summer heat. But after that I've noticed her licking her genetials more than before. I'm very familiar with urinary problems in cats because I had a male cat who had urinary blockage due to bladder stones before and the same cat I'm talking about now had a UTI infection. After speaking with their vet we decided to switch to another brand of food and after that they didn't have anymore UT problems. But I really don't know why she's licking her genitials now? Her litter box habits haven't changed, she's drinking water and eating properly and she's as active as ever. Could it be due to the shaved hair?
Thank you in advance.
