I am trying to help a stray cat.  I brought her in out of the heat (over 100 degrees here) to deliver her babies.  She delivered 6 kittens 2 days ago, 1 has since died.  I believe she has 2 more yet undelivered.  I read these posts yesterday and this morning sent my husband for the tuna and raspberries.  My question is, how much of the raspberries should I give her?  I don't know if too much could hurt her or the kittens, am concerned about that.  Thank you so much.

Thank you for taking this cat in!  Can you get a small scale, kitten milk replacer (powdered by PetAg is best), and a needleless syringe?  You may need to supplement their feedings.

Can you feel babies moving in mom or is she just a bit lumpy?

The momma is feeding her 5 kittens, but she still has 2 or 3 more inside to deliver but is having no labor at all.  I want to try the tuna with raspberries to induce labor but am unsure of the amount of berries I should give her.  Thank you

There is no need for attempts to induce labor. If mom has more kittens to deliver, they will come when her body is ready. Usually within 2-3 days. This happens when a cat mates on different days during her heat cycle. Just be patient. Raspberries may cause your cat diarrhea.

Thank you for this information.  I gave her some tuna with 1 smashed raspberry mixed in it.  She ate it all and nothing happened.  Since then those lumps I felt have shrunk or vanished.  I was worried and very frazzled during that time and jumped to the wrong conclusion, there were no unborn babies inside.  It was maybe swelling from all of the activity her little body had been through.  I am happy to say that she and her babies are all fine and seemingly very happy.  She is an excellent mother, completely attentive to all of their needs.  During all of this I started calling her Mother Charlotte.  It suits her and she is now responding to it.  It looks like Mother Charlotte has found her new home.  Thank you to everyone who offered advice, it was very comforting knowing you were there.
