How much to feed now one year old cats

Hi,

My two cats are just one month shy of being a year old. How many calories do they need now? This is sort of a transitional period. One of them is getting a bit chunky so I cut back. But hope many calories do they really need, approximately?

It depends on the cat Some cats may need more calories than others to maintain their ideal body weight and things like gender and breed and activity level affect calorie need so there isn't a set amount of calories needed by a 1 year old (other other age) cat.

Just use the typical recommendation of 20 to 25 calories per pound of ideal body weight daily and adjust as needed. How much do your cats weigh right now? What is their ideal  body weight? Some breeds of cats may not quite finish growing until a little over a year old so you don't want to restrict calories too much.
