The healthy one is a good size!

You can put the weak kitten with mom for comfort. Are you still feeding it?

This is surely a tortie.  These white spots sits in unusual places, lets see what it will be..

Im sorry for the trouble you do have, with these dead or dying kittens...  The lethargic its worth to fight on, as long there is life, but its not too optimistic...  If it feels cold, make sure its warmed up, this way or another.  Perhaps on your chest.

I left the lethargic kitten alone for 20 mins and he passed away.

Healthy kitten is still nursing so that makes me feel better.

Mama cat is panting and refusing to eat even her canned food. I moved them to the second coolest room in my house and that doesn't seem to be helping. Could she still be in labor?

She could be in labor or it could be after pains.  @sarthur2  usually recommends giving mom a bowl of kmr to drink.  It seems to help settle.

I'm sorry about the little one you lost.

Did your cat have another kitten? If not, that was after pains. I'm sorry you and your cat are having troubles, and that the weak kitten did not make it.

Has mom settled some now?

Mom has a bowl of KMR, a bowl of water, a bowl of wet food with KMR mixed into it, and a bowl of dry kitten food. She's no longer panting and is eating so she may have just been hot? She's been in and out nursing the last kitten

Probably after pains or hormones. Glad she's better now. Too much KMR can cause diarrhea in mom, by the way.

Good to know. I will keep an eye on her. She's barely touching the KMR bowl. She's becoming really touchy since I removed the kittens that have passed away. She's not leaving the remaining kitten alone for more than a few minutes when before she was leaving them for 20 to 30 mins.

She's confused as to what has happened to her kittens. She will get over it in a couple of days, bless her heart.

I came home from work today and found mama had moved the kitten into the litter box and the poor thing had litter all over it, even in it's mouth and has appeared to have lost weight. It wasn't trying to latch onto Momma either. I gently cleaned it's mouth out and wiped it's bottom with a damp towel and gave it some KMR. It ate and meowed a little and attempted to latch onto mom and now appears to be sleeping and not making any attempt to latch or eat. Should I be worried or could it just be sleeping?

Yes, I do think you should be concerned.  Your kitten should not be so lethargic.  How often are you supplementing?  How much?  Are you weighing the kitten every day?

Agreed. Something is not right. The fact mom set the kitten aside may mean that she senses it may not make it.

In the meantime, warm the kitten up and keep it warm. Rub honey on its gums to give quick energy, and begin giving 1-2 mLs of KMR every hour.

Let us know how it goes.

I gave him 1.5 mL when I got home. it was the first time I gave him a supplement. He seemed to be doing really well until momma started putting him in the litter pan. Momma licked him and he mewed a little bit and moved a little bit but now it looks like he's in a deep sleep. I'm not weighing the kitten because I don't have a kitchen scale

She's been laying in the litter pan with him.

The litter pan is not a good place for the kitten. Can you put them both back in a nest?

I think you need to feed the kitten more, as I mentioned above. Something is not right.

I put them in a blanket lined baby pool. Momma seemed to like that better than the box. She crawled in with him and he made some attempt to cuddle her but not to nurse. He's moving and stretching and sometimes I will see an ear twitch or a sucking motion with his mouth but he still seems to be asleep. I've attempted to wake him and it hasn't worked.

Glad you moved them. Make sure you get more formula into the kitten tonight.

Is the litter box covered?  It sounds like mom might want something with more privacy.
