See, here's the thing. We don't know when she got pregnant, so we were, and eye still kind of am, iffy on the whole keeping track of certain things. Just recently though, she's been wanting much more food, a bit annoyingly refuses to eat what's left (even if it's half full!!) in the can after she's had a single sitting, is sleeping more than usual, and is grooming more than usual. After doing some more research here on this blessed site, eye have been informed to treat her like she does indeed have precious life growing within her adorable fat belly, so first thing tomorrow eye will be off buying her some kitten chow. But does any kind soul out there have any information that could possibly assist me in any way?? Whatever it is, eye will be so grateful, and already am! Eye love my baby Lucid more than Life itself, and eye only wish the best for her. She's very in touch with her ancestral DNA and truly deserves nothing but the best eye can give her! My grandma says eye spoil her lol, but what can eye say? She is one of my many dear soulmates and we have such a strong connection. So having said this, I am completely open to hearing about small things here and there eye can buy that will assist her in this maybe pregnancy? But please be aware: she has never been to a vet because eye don't want them putting certain toxins in her body that will 'help', but if in the most extreme cases when more knowledge is gained, eye will take her in.

Thank you to anyone this message reaches. May peace be in this most sacred moment!

(since eye'm new to being a member on this site, eye'm not exactly sure how it works, so eye will be back on here to check for a reply ASAP)

Hi Alexandra, welcome to TCS! :wavey: We're glad you are here.

You have certainly come to the right place to be supported and gain information that will help with most any question you have. :)

Just a few questions for you...Do you remember when your kitty's last heat cycle was? Can you feel the kittens move yet? Those things can help figure out a time frame your mama kitty may have the kittens.

What signs has she given that she may be close to labor?

I'm sure there will be other members that will stop by to help... Use this thread to keep asking questions and feel free to post pics of your kitty :)

I second LotsOfFur LotsOfFur in saying that this is the right place to go to gain knowlege about our feline friends.

Have her nipples gotten pinker? Can you feel the kittens move yet? Are you planning to keep the kittens?

I also would like to say that this is a very "pro vet care" site. And having her spayed will keep her from developing life threatening problems such as pyometra (uterine infection, which is serious and life-threatening) as well as uterine cancer. It will also calm her down quite a lot and stop her from having to deal with the hormonal ups and downs that result from heat cycles and multiple pregnancies. Any unspayed female that is allowed outside is going to get pregnant eventually, and if she remains unspayed and allowed to go outside, she will get pregnant again and again, which is not good for her body and makes her much more likley to develop pyometra and uterine cancer. Cats can also get pregnant when they are not in heat. They are induced ovulators, meaning if she was caught by a tom cat and he mates with her, the very act of him mating with her will stimulate her ovaries to drop eggs, even when she is not in heat!

However, we cannot force you to provide such healthcare for your cat and it is ultimately your choice whether you want to have her spayed or not.

Also, I am not sure what you mean when you say you don't want them putting "toxins" in her? Are you talking about vaccines? Adult cats are generally not required to recieve vaccines (except some states require you to give them the Rabies vaccine, but that is the only one I can think of that would even be required, should you go to the vet). And the vet wouldn't give vaccines to a pregnant or nursing cat either!

My cat also got pregnant and i wasnt sure of the date. For two weeks, i thought it would be today but no it happened when it was supposed to happen. Usually, cats stop eating before birth and they get a lot lot clingy. My cat never wants to sit on my lap. Ever. Except when she was in labour she never left. Also she meowed a lot. You should give her wet food and also loads of milk (not cow or buffalo but other formula milk) also find her a comfortavle place for the kittens. Also in ny personal experience, you shoyld be there with your cat if this is her first litter. My cat was literally running aroumd while a kitten was half inside her and i know if i wouldnt ahve been there it would have died so yes and now happily i have four healthy kittens and i also never went to the vet

@LotsofFur Hello there wonderful friend, thank you for making me feel so welcomed, eye can definitely feel it.
Having been here a couple times before (when Lucid was a kitten and was learning new things) eye can second that; this site is wicked cool! ! Lucid's last heat cycle would have to been maybe 2 months ago and a half at most? Eye was staying at mom's in the city then. What exactly does it look like when the kittens move? Because only a couple times in peripheral vision when she was standing at my side, eye seen this very quick movement but it didn't look so close towards her belly? :/ After reading on here through different forums, eye got that near labor they become more affectionate, ask fr more food, meow a bit more, and she's having all of these symptoms, but eye will never be too sure until she actually has them .. if other things don't go so well.
Anyways, thank you so much for your precious moments dear family, stay beautiful and blessed!

@Raina21 Yes, her nipples have gotten slightly pinker, but not erect or anything as eye've read others say here before about that. And eye'm not so much worrying for her not producing milk yet; it could happen right before the kittens are here (which eye also read lol, this site is amazing!!!). Eye have been a bit scared to feel around her tummy since she sometimes bites me a lot when eye touch specific areas, but yes, and from feeling within my heart and soul and seeing photos, she may only have one-three at most inside. My grandpa says we can't keep the kittens, but eye don't want to give them up, so eye just have to fight this one off with him and trust that whatever is meant to happen, will. But I am putting forth potent energies / intentions to keep it all flowing to Divine plan!
-- That is what would fall under 'extreme cases' so we most likely be taking her in for that one thing after she has the babies, or if she does, and of course she'll have a check up on her overall wellbeing when there. :-)  Yes, eye was talking about vaccines as well all other nasty chemicals, but besides this, eye thank you from our very essence dear sister for supplying me your lovely and useful information!! May be peace be, and may you stay beautiful and blessed!

@sunshiness Hahaha, aw, eye'm so sorry for your experience and my laughing!!
But at least now you can say you succeeded with the outcome of the situation and can  assist others in the same pickle, right?
How have the cuties been ever since, momma included? If you don't mind me asking. :-)  And eye have always given her wet food with a bit of dry kibble on the side that's always left out, but as of today it's kitten chow :D and eye will so gratefully be taking your amazing advice! Soon, there will be a nice cozy little area for her maybe babies lol..Easy accessible and away from normal house chatter. Thank you, thank you my dear family, may you stay beautiful and blessed!! Xox

They have been great! Doodles(momma cat) is doing great. She likes to go out and play with my other stray cats and also she is doing great. The kittens are all about sleep. Most of them have opened their eyes except one who has opened only one eye. I am worried about him whether the eye will open or not but other then that, they are all healthy and great. Trust from a person whose cat is her world, everything will go fine :)) btw here is a picture od the kittens because i feel like sharing

@sunshiness Oh that sounds as precious as these little rainbows of joy look!!! And they seem sooo fragile omg
So they've all been doing great!? That truly warms my heart and make me smile a whole bunch :'-) Doodles sounds very sweet
And as for the little guy who only has one of his eyes opened so far, eye will be asking my Angelic and Spiritual guides in the Realms of Loving Light to assist as much as they can - their loving vibrations should keep you all feeling comfortable and at ease with his recovery, so you needn't worry much. Your brightening is my day is very appreciated.

P.S. thank you for that reassurance, it was super needed <3

Eye went to bed around 4 am, and woke up around 10am because eye heard a squeaky cry. Looking over my shoulder eye find that my Lucid had already three popped out, and one was in the pillow next to me. Eye thought at first she was done, but then observing further, she may have one more or two inside her belly. Not sure tbh, but it looks a little tiny bit big still. Could they possibly be dead in there if they are? How long do these breaks take? Any tips on this?? Anything is deeply appreciated!

Peace, Healing, and Loving Light xo

There are restrictions on accounts of minors, like FB requires.

It does not affect your posting about your cat on this thread though! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

How are things going?

If mom's not in distress there is no reason to be concerned. Cats are also lumpy after birthing until things shrink down again. If she has more they'll come in time. It can be hours or even days. And no, it does not mean they are dead!

Congrats on the kittens! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Everything so far feels OK, but eye'm still a bit worried... Eye can't help it. :-( Momma cat is doing good, but the kittens have been suckling on her for hours, and now she's breathing really heavy. Is this normal? Like a dog does when its hot out... She only starts purring when eye give her physical support.., then eye feel she calms down a bit. But oh my gosh, literally a second ago, eye heard a farting noise almost and looked over to see her licking down there, then she runs under the blankets.... ????? Another one eye'm assuming?! Ahhh!!

It could be she's laboring for another kitten, or she could be having after pains. Cats can have after pains on and off for a day or two, which can cause heavy breathing.

Have you bought a can of powdered KMR yet? A dish a day assists with mom's calcium needs, and seems to calm after pains also.

I'm glad her kittens are nursing well!

Has mom eaten or had any water today?

Do you know for how long eye should look out IF she is to have another kitty? Eye relocated them so they have more room and so she can have a bit of fresher air. Eye'll be placing her food and water right by her as well. Also, no, eye need to go buy some of that, and then: when should we take her into the vet's office with your best guess? She's never been to one, but eye want to make sure she's doing well as well as the kittens.. Grandma plans on getting her spayed too. :/ So very sorry for all of these question, but one last one.. When will she be able to move around once again? And by this eye mean when will she be allowed to walk over and have a full meal with some water etc. Just so new to this, and all and any info eye can get on the whole experience will be put to great use. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with me!

She can eat and drink whenever she wants to. Some cats are not hungry for a few hours because they do eat the placentas.

If there is not another kitten in the next couple of days, and she is not in distress, then she is done.

Where have you relocated her to?

She does not need to go to the vet anytime soon unless she is having problems. I do not think she is having any problems right now. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Mom and kittens don't need to go to the vet until they are 6-8 weeks old if all is well. Why are you opposed to getting her spayed?

It's also very important that mom and babies stay 100% inside until they are fully vaccinated. They are very vulnerable right now.

If there is another kitten, she should deliver within the next day or two. Mom and babies should be confined to one room where she can nest. Nest should be a dark area. Food, water, and litter box should be nearby. Mom can help herself.

Edit - sorry for repeat post! The above was posted while I was typing.

Someone help!?! She's attempting to take them under the bed, but she's growling a bit and biting hard it sounds from their cries.. Is this normal??? UPDATE: She's now laying back down, allowing them to feed. But what happened scared me! Would she really hurt them if she got annoyed enough with their crying?

You said you relocated them earlier. From where to where?

They need a dark, private place. Do you have a covered box? Or can you cut a door in a box for mom and cover the box? She wants privacy.

Do not let her harm the kittens, though I'm sure that is not her intention.
