Hello. My furbaby Hallie has always been the most sweetest kitty ever since day one. She's overly-affectionate, cuddly, friendly, etc. Last night she attacked me.. I had screamed loudly and ran into my room because my father was going to hit me, and I think I scared her? She attached herself to my leg with her claws and her tail was extremely poofy. Her eyes were widened, too. She's back to her usual self.. As if nothing happened. Is this okay? Did I scare her? Does she still love me? I'm worried..

Your cat attacked you because she was frightened. Our cat gets frightened and stressed out when there's a human in the house who's frightened and stressed out, even if there's no yelling or violence. Stressed out cats not only exhibit strange behavior, but it shows up physically/medically. I don't know how old you are or what you're situation is, but it sounds as if you and your cat need to find a calmer house where violence doesn't exist.

That's just the way he is.. Please focus on the question
Your cat attacked because she was just frightened. Please know that violence of any form against anyone is never ok, and if you are underage please tell another adult, ask for help. Schools are good for this. No one deserves to be hit.

Yes your cat acted out of fear. Mine will attack each other out of stress or fear on occasion my female does it mostly when new people she has never met come to my house. She is very jumpy and gets afraid very easy so she will attack one of the other cats and then she goes back to being normal. Thankfully none of my cats have front claws and my female is much much smaller than my boys who rough house with each all the time so they can take it better than say I would if she attacked me. Hope everything is okay!
