Flicking poops

I noticed little tootise roll thingies on the stairway and in my room the other day. It was cat poop
. They were hard so I knew the cats weren't pooping on the floor. I went into the bathroom the other day and caught Miss Pumpkin flicking poops out of the litter box and playing with them until they were on the stairway.

Now, we clean their box once a week (sometimes two)and scoop the clumps out of the litter box on a daily basis.

Why in the world is she flicking poops out of the box?
It's most always clean.

omg I'm sorry but LMAO!! That vision almost made me fall off my chair.

Honestly I dont know why she would want to play with them
Sometimes I'll find a random poop that usually gets stuck on Zoey's butt.. somewhere in the hall. Saki tries to cover it up lol.

LMAO , that sounds like some of mine would do . Sorry I had to laugh , it sounds so funny . I know it is not for you .
Calipso had a hard poop before and she was rupping her butt on the carpet to get rid of the poop . That was before I herd about pumpkin in the can and did not know this forum . I also learnt then , that it is not funny to step in that poop

We have that as well, but we also have two dogs who love the litter boxes
So I can't blame the cats or the dogs...We have tried spraying the dogs with water when they go for the litter, but they still won't stop. Anyone know what to do?

(yes we have covered litter boxes, they stick their heads right in there)

Sometimes I find a stray poop in the bathroom
Like Zoey, it gets stuck to one of their butts and drops off in the bathroom. You know what the best part is
One of the others will pull a wash towel down off the towel rack and cover it up. I find a towel on the floor and sure enough, there is a poop under it

It sounds like Pumpkin is looking for something to play with? Do you have balls and stuffed toys she can flick around the room?? My boys used to do this with their kibbles before I got them stuffed toys. They didn't like the balls I had for them.

LOL that is what Kahu does
And we have covered litterboxes.

Sometimes it is because Kahu poops out his fur with his poop (he gets fibre to help with that) and then the hair doesnt come out all the way - you can see white hair in his poo and he runs around with the poo still hanging out his bum and then when it falls, he plays with the poo.

Cats. LOL!

There's no place like home
Someone in my house does this also! I have covered boxes, and so many toys laying around that you could "swing a cat" and hit one of them!! LOL

Darling little Scarlett finds them, gets upset by them, and tries to bury them where they are at. Whenever I hear her little petite scratch on the floor, I just grab a paper towel and go find her.

LOL!!!!!! I was petting my dear, most beautiful bushy tailed kitty the other nite, petting and petting, running my hand all the way down his tail as he swishes it back and forth, he just knows he's so gorgeous, and what do I run my hand over.....you got it! A huge cat turd! Of course I needed to get it off and the more I tried the harder he swished that gorgeous tail back and forth, finally got it off. And for those of you with a dog.....cat pooh is a total treat, my dog lives for them. We have a covered box, with the door and he is quite skilled with that. We have just stagically placed the box, with the door toward the wall, with things surrounding it, with just enough room for the cats to go in. It works but what a funny thing. We love or animals though. Their funny ways give me great smiles and chuckles. One definitely has to have a sense of humor.

I can emphatize with you. The other day I caught Clyde digging new litter out of the Fresh Step box, and I must have vacuumed at least 1/2 a lb off the floor (all over the place).

They also will tell me when it's full since they will sometimes leave me a poop calling card on the springy mat in front of the covered litter box. That's if my nose doesn't tell me first.

I do have to chuckle at first though, it does bring a smile.

Good luck in catching them all.
