Both are supposed to be ways to promote mindfulness through drawing, similar to the adult coloring book trend. From what I can understand zentangle is the more structured drawing and zendoodle is more creative and less structured.

It looks like there are different kits you can buy to get started but really all you need is a piece of paper and a pen or pencil and just follow some rules of zentangling.

It seems really interesting. There are "certified zentanglers" who actually teach classes on how to zentangle and zendoodle. This sounds like something the company can offer during meeting-free weeks in addition to the meditation / de stress workshop. I'll have to remember to mention ths to the workshop coordinator the next time I see her. She was super excitied about my suggestion for a coloring book session so I'm sure she'll be just as excited about this.

I've heard of zentangle and seen demos, but have never tried it myself. Looks like fun, but I have a horrible feeling it would drive me cross eyed after a while :lol3:

To be honest, I have an increasing stack of colouring books that I've barely touched for ages, and i'm behind with jewellery and other crafting projects...so the LAST thing I need is another one to add to the pile

Lol
I have plenty of coloring pages and books too that will keep me occupied for a very long time
Zentangle does seem interesting and a class or two on the basics of how to actually do it might be fun.
