Good morning!
 And Happy Friday!

I love nail polish, all kinds of finishes, all kinds of colors, from pastels to bold metallics to mirrored polishes. I love them all. I love having long nails.....I don't know; maybe it's a girly thing for me. There's just something about fingernails and polishes that make me feel finished, if that makes any sense. I can be wearing the grubbiest of jeans to work outside, and my hair may be back in the worst ponytail, but if my nails are polished, for me, life is good. One of the things I do on Sunday nights is a manicure; it's something that I do for myself.

I'll be in a store and, if I see a color that I like (and I usually do!), it will be in my shopping cart. Last night, I was perusing Amazon, just for the heck of it and found some neat polishes.....they should be here by the end of next week. I love the deep reds and wine burgundies, but really pretty much any color will do. Right now, I'm wearing a gorgeous copper that looks very spicy. I tell people that nail polish is my guilty pleasure.

So.....What's your guilty pleasure? Do you have one?

wine. :lol3:

Pretty glasses. I have so many wine glasses, margarita glasses, etc. Way more than I could ever use.

definitely carob chips. they're expensive enough, and they're something i don't actually need. i had been buying one pound pouches from amazon here and there, but am now holding off until this fall. once the weather cools down (the carob chips can melt during shipping in hot weather), i'll be placing a bulk foods order for several items, including the carob chips -- at a much better price per pound. i don't 'do' chocolate, so carob chips would be the equivalent for me.

Zoanthids for my reef tank. I keep looking at them online and adding them to the shopping cart, but last minute change my mind because it will get expensive fast!!

They are so beautiful comes in so many different colors and easy to care for!

this is a "Zoa Garden" of zoanthids of different colors. It's not my photo.. but it's my dream, lol

I have a thing for buying nail polish too. But it's only ever on my toes.  My hands take too much abuse for it to be worth it these days!

My other guilty pleasures are reading and game apps on my kindle fire.  I rotate through a few depending on my mood.  It's a nice way to "check out" for a few minutes.

I love nail polish too. I keep my nails shortish as I do a lot of gardening and DIY, but I still love to paint them. I like blues, greens and purples. @Winchester  do you get those little nail decals to stick on your nails too? I have some really cute ones for special occasions.

I usually pretty my nails up on Friday evenings as Saturday and Sunday are my busiest days at work and I want to look tidy. (Or at least not like a person who spends so much of their spare time scrabbling around in the dirt.)

No, I don't have any decals. I should get some, though, because I like them. I've also seen those nails (not really nails, like a nail polish cover for your nails) from Amazon and was tempted by them the other night. I figured I'd have too much trouble getting them on my own nails though.

Have you done stamping? Any special technique that I'm missing? Because try as I might, I can't stamp. I have the stuff to do it, but I must be missing something because, to me, it's a lot harder than it looks!

I wear gardening gloves when I'm outside, largely because of thorny plants. I hate getting stuck with thorns! A good pair of gloves will see me through a whole season, if I take care of them. I use food=grade plastic gloves when I'm making meatloaf or meatballs or when I'm working with chicken. My nails are kind of longish, so I don't want stuff getting under them, if I can help it.

I love the deep red polishes. But I'm a fan of blues and greens, too. I have a Sally Hanson called Mermaid's Tale and it's basically a blue/green glitter, so I will put a lighter blue on first, then the Mermaid's Tale. Looks pretty neat.

Have you tried the gels? I don't use gels as I've heard they're too hard to get back off. Glitter is hard to get back off, too. What a pain that can be. I should just buy some Elmer's Glue for my nails before I use the glitter polishes and be done with it.

I did "fireworks" for the July 4th week. Basically a coat of white polish with red and blue fireworks (a dot of polish then you use a toothpick to pull the dot apart to look like fireworks). Followed a shiny top coat. They actually turned out pretty good.

Fine jewelry. I'll wear an expensive piece with a $2.87 Walmart t-shirt! (And those shirts are nice--No Boundaries brand, junior sizes only! LOL) I got into this due to a metal allergy with costume jewelry, and learned to appreciate the aesthetics of the workmanship and the gems.  If I had a dream job, selling fine jewelry would be it. I have a real passion for gemstones.

My other guilty pleasure is watching true crime/murder Youtube videos, interspersed with checking Pinterest for home organizing ideas. I'm a sicko. I know.

Oh me too! If ever the police seize my computer and check the things I watch I'll really have some explaining to do.
