That was right by the back steps. He would always just sit and lay around there and on the porch..while outside. Inside he would always be next to me. Well, outside too i guess. :(

He's a beautiful boy. No wonder you miss him so much.

Of course it's not your fault he's missing. You were doing everything you could to make his like happy and comfortable. He is really distinctive looking, I think anyone who saw him would remember. Do you still have plenty of Lost Cat posters up with his picture on?

Thank you Shane. That means alot. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Keep him there please. It's kind of funny you say cute little buddy cause he's not little. :) :( i have to post a picture of him sleeping in the box. 2 different boxes. Don't know how he was comfortable but he liked it. I hate that my camera lens on my ohone was messed up so i couldn't take the best pictures. I said to myself that WHEN (don't like saying if and don'twant to) he comes back I will take so many pictures of everything. I was just enjoying his company being with him and all the cute things..and i didn't take any pictures of the cute things. Stupid me. And for not letting him in when i woke up but how was i suppose to know. This never happened. I am trying to keep my spirits up. Thank you.

This is him sleeping in the box. Not sure what size box it is. Maybe 17 x 9 1/2 almost 10. So i guess that's his size kind of. You can't tell that he has stripes on him..they don't stand out. But since my camera was messed up cause I've had the phone for so long the better picture is on another phone that isn't connected. Trying to get it on my phone now since i have a new one.

He was something. Love his personality.

Also, there is a straw in the box with him. He liked playing with my straw that I would drink with. So i figured i would play with him with it. It's kind of funny sometimes some cats can have all the toys and they choose something like a straw to go after. I miss him so much. And he probably looks a little fat here but he isn't. He's just a big boy. One neighbor said he looks like a tough cat cause of his size and how he walks sometimes. But he's my sweety.

Thank you Norachan. Yes, i do..so much. Cutting the grass definitely hasn't been the same without him next to me rolling in it as I'm cutting and sweeping/raking. Just everything. It was hard for me to post these pictures or even look at any. I was a mess. Sometimes i can talk about him and be happy thinking about him and talking about him. Other times i can't stop crying. Just so many unanswered questions. And they would remember, wouldn't they? I thought so. That's why i posted the picture to. With all the walking i don't see any cats that look like him around here. My uncle doesn't either. There was one last year but it was smaller. I only sae from a distance when it came in my yard and left. I knew it wasn't B cause he was with me. I said oh that kitty looks like you. It came twice.

The weather has been horrible. Either too hot or raining. He isn't crazy about the rain especially storms so i start thinking about him and how he's doing. I think if he was un this area he would definitely be here especially with storms. I wanted to go to the library 2 blocks away to do fliers but they have been closed all summer cause of the weather. Not air conditioning. I don't have transportation of my own right now. So I'm limited on getting stuff. But i have an idea. I know justa description on them isn't the same as a picture.

Since noone has seen him that I've asked anywhere around here..i have to do fliers spred out. I had the thought of someone taking him but figured he doesn't go to people or kids especially making noise and running but I'm starting to think maybe he was cornered and grabbed or just happened to go near someone and they grabbed him. I asked everyone that's been outside and nothing. I'm not sure how honest people are but i had a thought and told my uncle what if there's a neighbor behind me (back alley) that has their friends and/or family that visits alot and sae B and asks about him. Saying something like where does that cat come from, he's pretty. And they just answer oh he's always around here walking. Even if they mention him coming in my yard amd staying there maybe they don't think he's mine and think well strays go there anyway and they go in every yard. So maybe if that happened they came sae him within those 2 hours and caught him. And if so, how am i supposed to know and where do they live? If he gets out will he come back here? Just thoughts that i have that could be possible..and of course questions. Maybe I'm thinking too much but while talking to my uncle we said B always comes to us and with him walking every day and not seeing him at all..then that can be a strong possibility. So we have to get on it. I will ask more people behind me. If something like that happened maybe people wont be honest. My uncle thinks he will still come back.

Last week i was outside with my uncle at like 5am amd i saw a gray black striped tabby cat. And i thought it was the one that belonged to the people behind me that dont seem to care (the one that i took care of) but i kept looking and it was a different one. That one used to come here and eat but would keep its distance from the porch until i went in. I was trying to get friendly with it. I haven't seen that one in months and then he popped up a few houses down last week. That should give me some type of hope right? My mom and uncle think so.

I know i mentioned the humaine society near me and the next town over emailing me back and how i was going to email asking if i can send a photo with information instead of just filing a report that I've already done. And how maybe someone will probably drop him there as a stray or try to keep him saying he's theirs. They emailed me back and said i could and that i was doing the right thing. So finally. I got somewhere with them. Easier if i had transportation but i wasn't giving up with the emails until i got what i wanted.

So there's that for noe. I'll be back with anything else. Sorry if i wrote too much again. I really appreciate you. Any one who has been trying to help me with this and through this. I really do. Thank you.

Also, Norachan any news on Gin? How long has it been now?
Hoping, praying, wishing that our babies come back home to us.

jennabengal jennabengal thank you. My mom had a similar idea of recording the can opener cause he knows that sound. I tried/still try shaking food bad/box, shaking in a cup-he knows those sounds, also tapping a can and even tried making noise with those crinkly toys. All sounds he knows. Besides calling him. I'm not sure what else to do. I should try your idea and see if that works/helps. Just have to find an audio of that.

I was trying to make him an indoor amd not want to go outside. I have one that I've had since birth,he doesn't go out. The other one that i took in a few years ago runs out when he can but stays in the yars and not for long. If he doesn't go out he cries and acts up but he eventually gives up. But this one i had about two years and i was trying to get him out of going out. He usually stays on my porch or just in the yard when he's outside. Maybr just for a walk like 10 mins. He wants to come in everyday. So everyday it's in and out. But this has never happened with him before or to me.

Yes. He's neutered. No coyotes around here. I live in the city. I worry about people, kids, traffic, dogs. Things like that since there's a lot of that here. Thank you. I appreciate you coming to my post and reading and helping.

I know what you mean. My two cats Kane and Zaren had all sorts of toys and I paid almost $300 for a really nice cat tree. They had cat beds and instead liked boxes like your Blue. Instead of playing with the toys and cat tree they played with a toy we got at a yard sale for $2. Hundreds of dollars on toys and they picked the $2 toy.

"It's kind of funny you say cute little buddy cause he's not little."

I am 6 foot and 1 inch tall so they are all little buddies to me ;)

Shane Kent Shane Kent aw.yea, playing with a $2 toy instead seems to be the case i guess. It's funny and cute though. Yea, he liked sleeping in boxes so i had to keep a box for him to sleep in. He would sleep on chairs too. I even made a chair nice and comfy for him. But always went back to the box. Once i went shopping and got a box of pudding cups..not a big box. I took the pudding out and the box was on the floor and he slept in it. Not sure how comfortable it was cause he was squeezed in it and his head stuck out but for whatever reason he liked it. I have a picture but its on a phone thats not connected. My other cat takes a piece of the dog food and plays with it haha. I think to myself really? Not so much a toy but dog food. Guess it depends on his mood.
Blue even played with the plastic thing you peel of the milk container when it fell on the floor. So cute though.

Oh wow. 6'1. Ok yea i guess so. I'm 5'2 so maybe for me they're not :)

It's been 10 weeks friday. Still nothing. I feel really sad. Still trying to stay hopeful. My neighbor texted me yesterday asking if Blue was male or female. I answered male. She said she thought so. And then told me that there was a flier up at the supermarket for a found cat and sent me a picture of the flier. She also told me it wasn't him. I saw it. It's not. It's light gray and white. Pretty cat. The place is about 5 or 10 minutes away by car(which i don't have). I said i hope that person finds their cat too. She told me it's been too long. I didnt know what she meant-the flier? So i asked and she said that Blue has been missing...that made me feel sad. But i told her that its been 2 months and I've read stories of cats returning months after, either on their own or with fliers cause someone called or they find them..little late but it happens. And that I've been on this site. She didn't text back.

I told my uncle and mom and they said don't listen to her. It's not too long or late to do anything. I know it isn't but i feel so helpless. While talking to my uncle about it and the flier, i asked if the person found a cat that far away and put a flier here, does that mean we should/have to do the same? Just in case? He said he used to go to that area to the lake near there and that's how he knows how far it is. That we can try but he would have to do it and take the bus if he can. I don't think he will be that far but i dont know anymore. All i know is that if he was around here he would be here/come here. I get aggravated and frustrated cause i havenno idea where he is, where he could be or what happened. I have several ideas floating around in my head but i don't know. It puts me in a bad mood. I miss/love him. And I'm sad.

Last night (middle of the night) while on my back porch. It was a bit windy and there's a car parked infront of my gate(thats locked) with a cover on it (belongs to the neighbor)and i looked at the gate and saw something move. I thought it could be Blue. My next door neighbors were outside so i figured maybe he doesn't want to come in. I shook food sonce i had it out for the others and called. But i looked and it was the stupid car cover moving in the wind. I got so happy for a minute. Then disappointed and sad. It was dark so i just saw something light like him moving and thought of him. I hate this so much. I just don't know what to do anymore.

Sorry for coming and venting. Just wanted to share that i guess.

Hi Bella, I just came across your post tonight and wanted to mention Craigs List as a possible resource if you haven't found Blue yet.  Quite a bit of time has passed, but if you haven't posted there, I would.  I live out in the country and when a cat or dog shows up, I don't normally post that I found them (especially after a bad experience last year with a poster we put up), I usually just look for missing or lost postings.  It really depends on the condition of the animal and the situation.

Also, I know how you feel about Blue being gone.  It is an extremely frustrating and helpless feeling.  I've got one myself that has been gone two weeks and a day and it feels like much, much longer.  I still call for him every day, several times a day, check the craigs list listing to make sure it stays on top, have put the neighbors on alert and look at his picture many times a day.  I even contacted an animal communicator, who may or may not have been legitimate.  She couldn't give me a definite return date or give me anything specific to find him, but at the time, it did ease my mind.  It was $44 for 15 minutes though, so it was more of a one time deal.  For some reason, whether it was from her or the fact that none of the other cats, including his two siblings are acting any different, or just whatever, but I am at peace.  Not that I don't miss him dearly, but I just feel that he is ok, wherever he is.  I hope I am right, but I will probably never know that for sure unless he comes back.  I just keep my happy memories of him replaying in my mind and keep envisioning him bounding across the yard or walking down the hallway like he always did after sleeping on the bed or coming in from outside.  My cats have their own cat door so if or when he comes back, he can just walk right back in any time.  I pray every night that he does.

whatsonemore whatsonemore Thank you. I've read to look or post there. And someone told me facebook too. I really don't go on those sites. I was thinking of asking my friend is she could do it for me. She goes on there. She lives in a different state though but she has cats and lost cats before. So maybe she would do it for me. How do you even start with that. It's like i feel clueless.

Stupid me though cause at first i thought oh he'll be back he has to come back. And went looking..i was hopeful then. But now since it's a little over 2 months I'm not sure. I still have hope. I have to. I can't just say this is it cause I've read stories that cats come back or are found months later. So that definitely gives me hope. I'm hanging on here.

I do the same thing. I still call. Still look. I was scared to do fliers cause of the people in the world today that are just cruel. But asking people that i see, they don't see him. Oh wow. A bad experience. Sorry to hear that. That's what scares me. I'm sorry to hear yours is missing too. I hope he comes back home to you. It's a horrible feeling. Not knowing. I would try animal communicater but i am not sure. I don't have the money for it. Who knows if some are legitimate or not but from the things I've read some are amd makes sense with situations. Do you have fliers up now? That's exactly how i feel, helpless, frustrated, aggravated, worried and so emotional. I do the same thing too. I keep replaying the happy memories but sometimes I'll be ok other days I'm a wreck and cry. I like to envision him walking in the yard too. I know exactly how you feel. I hope my kitty and your kitty are safe and come home to us soon.

It's good that you feel ok/he's ok. If only i had something to go on. I honestly don't know what to think. Everything i think wouldn't happen maybe could've happened. I don't like to think that way. That something bad happened cause of people being cruel. I just don't understand. I'm hoping one day I'll wake up and look out and see him on the porch laying in or on his box waiting to come in like he does. I pray every night too.

whatsonemore whatsonemore you said you have other cats including his siblings and they aren't acting any different. With mine..i have 2. 1 i had since birth and 1 i took in before Blue. I strongly believe that him and Blue came from the same house with the guy owner thay i mentioned in my post along with this. I wrote alot. Sorry. But thank you for reading it. Anyway, i think they are sibling. They are different colors and size and eye color but they both have the same eyes..just the way they look. Not sure if that makes sense to anyone. Also before i took him in and the one went outside after i took him in, they acted like they knew each other. In the house even more. They would sit together outside on the porch. I think the one looks for him. Cause his sitting on the porch buddy isn't here. Amd the cat i had since birth-he's 10..he got used to him and now that he's not here he sits and it seems like he looks for him too. I could tell by the looks. Like every cat owner you can just tell and see things in your cat. I hope our kitties come back home to us and others that have a missing pet.

BellaB, if you don't have a computer or whatever, if it's possible to get to the library, you should be able to figure out Craig's List easy enough.  You just have to put it your city and state and look for lost pets.  You might have to do quite a bit of scrolling for three months, but it's probably best for you to do it yourself, maybe.

I ran into problems with a poster when I took in a couple of dogs that a delivery driver found emaciated on his route.  The house they had ended up at didn't want them there and were letting their dog attack the little one and were shooting them with a pellet gun.  He called me because he knows I take in animals, so of course when he told me what was going on, I couldn't say no.  I kept them for four months.  Neither had collars or were spayed or neutered and the female pit bull mix actually went into heat while she was with me, so as soon as that was over, and nobody posted anywhere looking for them, I bought a voucher on sale at the local spay/neuter clinic to get her fixed first.  Before that happened, (but after her heat cycle was over) both dogs happened to be off at the same time (accidentally) and took off together.  We put up a poster down the road at an intersection that sees quite a bit of traffic, just in case.  The male dog, the coonhound, actually ended up making it back to the owner, which was pretty amazing to me since he'd come to me via car and it was several miles away.  Anyway, the girl's aunt lives in this area somewhere and saw the poster at the intersection and told her about the dogs sounding like hers and she called, wanting them.  She had a picture, so what could I do?  Even though I didn't feel comfortable giving them back, especially since she was clearly not very responsible with them since she hadn't even bothered to post anywhere (Craig's List or the local newspaper) and her dogs weren't spayed or neutered and one was a pitbull mix and the other a full blooded coonhound, what was severely emaciated.  Not exactly the best types of dogs to be bred together.  Anyway, since the coonhound had already made it back to her and she wanted her other dog back, we made arrangements to meet her for the drop off.  She had to share a cell phone with her husband, as well as their one car and she had her two small children under the age of 5 with her when she picked the dog up at 9pm one night.  She put the dog, whom they'd named "Mary Jane" hmmmm, in the back of the truck (it was a cold night) in a wire cage.  The dog did NOT want to go in there and my heart broke making her.  I told this girl that we'd bought a voucher to have the dog spayed and we'd still let her have it at no charge and since she obviously had her hands full with the two small children, we'd even pick the dog up, keep her until she was healed and then give her back to them if it made it easier for her.  No response.  No "No Thanks", No "That's a nice offer, thank you".  Nothing.  We texted her a couple of times over the next couple of weeks about it, since she was going to be in heat again in another couple of months, but we were ignored.  She didn't even thank me or offer any money for the four months that I'd kept her dogs.  Anyway, I think about them all the time and hope they are doing ok.  When I asked her if she'd posted about them being lost anywhere, because we had checked, she said no, that she just thought a farmer had probably shot them.

The happy news in this sad story though, is that while out driving up and down my gravel road by my property and drive, we came across three tiny kittens sitting on the side of the road on a big dirt clod the grader had made.  I immediately saw them and told my bf to Stop!  I got out and walked over to them, hoping they didn't run away because the weeds and underbrush would have made catching them nearly, if not impossible.  Of course they ran like the wind into the weeds as I got up to them, but I gently called to them and out they all came.  They were tiny, dirty, flea infested and skinny.  I scooped them up, brought them home, set them up in the garage away from all the other cats and dogs to make sure they were ok health wise and to work on getting rid of the fleas, which took a few baths with dawn dish soap to accomplish.  That was the very end of September last year and we've been together every single day and night since, except when they had to be gone for most of the day getting spayed/neutered and when Cooper was in the hospital for a couple of days being treated for something the vet misdiagnosed.  And now that Stormy has gone missing for these last two weeks and three days.

The animal communicator said he was just out finding his way as a young cat.  Which I guess I can see since he is a year old, but that seems like something one could wrap up in a week!  lol    She had said she felt he was only half way through his journey when I talked to her after one week, so she felt he'd be gone another week, which was Friday.  Maybe she was just off a few days?!??  I'm still trying to stay positive because I know of the three of them, he'd be one to do this and he was bigger and bolder than his two siblings.  The animal communicator also told me that she was asking the animals in his path to give him safe passage, but I'm not sure that three separate packs of coyotes, that I can hear in three different directions, would be so obligatory, but I continue to hope and pray while trying to avoid thinking about something awful happening to him.

Not sure if you can see them on your phone, but here's a picture of them shortly after they arrived and proceeded to make themselves at home everywhere and anywhere.....
From left to right:  Stormy, Cooper and Rosie.

That's such a sad story about the dogs @WhatsOneMore  I can't understand why people like that even bother having pets if they can't take care of them properly.

I hope Stormy finds his way home soon.

WhatsOneMore, I like your name here. Is that referring to animals? Lol. That's kind of how i feel sometimes..like what's one more, it's fine. Lol. I picked this name cause it's part of a nick name of mine and also Bella is pretty in a Italian and i added the B..for Blue. I call him my Pretty Blue sometimes. So BellaB.

I don't have a computer but i will try on my phone. Hopefully i can do something on both sites with my phone. I know it's better to use a computer though but i have to use what i have. The library that's 3 blocks away is still closed. I don't know. I will try.

I doubt anyone around here will put up a found flier for Blue. They will just think he's a stray like the rest of them on this block and others I've seen while looking. Maybe someone around here had company and saw him a few times then figured he's a stray and grabbed him. I don't see how sunce he won't go near people like that. So I don't know. At this point I'm thinking anything is possible. I don't like to think anything baf happened to him but then i start to think something had to happen for him not to be here. For the 2 years I've had him and took care of him He's been here, inside and out every single day all day and night except when he went for a walk.. Mostly at night. He would be next to me most of the time. And follow me. I hope he is ok and someone is feeding him and he's safe until i find him or he comes back. My uncle still thinks he'll be back.

I feel so stupid for not putting up fliers sooner cause maybe if someone did take him or take care of him or someone knows something they would've told me. But hopefully it's not too late. I've been told it's not. So hopefully i will get something good. I don't know. I hope i don't get weird calls/emails. That worries me. Or people looking for him but in the wrong way if you know what i mean. I worry. I don't trust people sometimes cause some don't care. All the asking we did around here, no one has seen him and some even tell us they don't pay attention to the cats. I just want him to be ok and safe right now and come back.

I can't believe that those people didn't even say thank you. I would've been so grateful. That was nice of you to take care of their dogs and buy a voucher to get them spayed and neutered. And to give it to them. What she said that she thought a farmer shot them..what type of crap is that? Excuse my language. No matter what thoughts you have of your missing animal..you would ask around and put fliers, contact shelters, look for them. I did that except fliers cause i wasn't sure and very nervous about it cause of the weirdos out there. But if you love your pets you would do what you can. So "Mary Jane" huh? I'm sure it did break your heart. I would feel the same way if the dog didn't want to go. That makes me think that maybe the dog wasnt happy with them. It's a situation that you don't want to do it but if it's theirs what can you do? That's hard. That just doesn't seem right. Not you, them. Like it was sketchy, they were. The least They could've should've done was Thanked you. And they shouldn't have ifnored you either. But unfortunately thats how some people are.

I've never seen found fliers. a few years ago maybe 2 missing cat and dog fliers. I would always keep an eye out so i can help but never saw them.

I'm still not sure about animal communicaters. I would try it though. I would like to know what they can tell me about Blue. Maybe get an idea that maybe would make sense.

You sound like me lol. That's something I would do. Stop and go get the kittens. I try to get friendly with every cat that comes here to eat that aren't the usuals. But they come and go. That's like me and Blue. Like i said every single day and night. And the one that i think might be his brother that i took in before him that i think came from the same place..like i mentioned. But they were already neutered and weren't kittens.

I can see the picture good. They are so adorable. I want them! Lol. I like that Stormy and Cooper look a like and then theres Rosie. I had a black cat some years ago. Is cooper ok now?
