Well last weekend I took in an abandoned cat. She is heavily pregnant, the seemed to have a show on Sunday, her nipples are getting more enlarged. She seems to have doubled in size since she has arrive with me (now she is actually being fed.) she had lots of movement during the week but today there doesn't seem to be much. You can feel kittens on either side when she is stood up and there are some fluttery movement if I put my hand on her side. She still eats well but doesn't rush to the bowl like she did the first 4-5 days she was here. She only really eats the wet food I put out now so her appetite has changed. But I guess that could be because she had been on the street for 2 weeks, she ate everything that was giving her when I brought her home.

It is so difficult to know when she will deliver as I don't know her behaviour before hand, I don't know when she conceived but going off what I do know I'm guessing it won't be much more than a week.

I've finished work for the summer so at least I am home if she does want me around. Im just hoping that the kittens have developed ok while she has out on the street and I have given he the best chance at being ready for them.

This isn't really a question. I just wanted to share dominos story and wondered if anybody else has been in a similar situation.

I'm no help, I've never had a cat have kittens but I'm glad she's found someone so caring to look after her when she needs it most :) Good luck with the birth!

Thank you for taking her in!

It sounds like she is definitely moving into the final stages of her pregnancy, and perhaps the kittens have even dropped.

Does she have a nest in a quiet, private place?

It is now a matter of waiting, which is always the hard part. So glad you'll be there to help her.

Keep us posted! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Yes it's all we up for her but she doesn't seem very interested at the minute apart from taking out anything I put in it.

I'm guessing by her size she either has a little while to go on there are lots or she is ready to go any time.

She looks pretty big! I would not think it will be too much longer, but it's always so hard to know.

All she does it sleep and groom herself. Her appetite has picked up at little now so I'm wondering if she it building herself up for it the next few days. I suppose because she was out on the street and not been fed there is more chance of her wanting to eat as much as possible. And I'm happy with that because I want her to be as strong as possible.
She has easily doubled in size in the last 6 days.

I think it's good that she has. It means both she and her kittens are getting the nutrients they need. It's probably a good thing the kittens have had this time to fill out and grow.

I don't blame mom for sleeping lots! She's got a big job ahead. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Still no kittens from Domino. She is still just sleeping and grooming herself. A little down below but nothing that makes me think things are starting. When she is lay down she actually seems a little smaller so I'm wondering if they have moved down now. She doesn't want me to touch her stomach so I'm guessing her milks coming and she is feeling uncomfortable.
She has been very affectionate towards our dog going over to him and giving him a lick.

She has a birthing box set up and everything is quite but she wants to sleep on the dog bed in our living room.
