My cat is having another liter but we kept a kitten from the first litter. Will this be a problem?

We have two outside cats. They both got pregnant and gave birth to kittens. Once they were old enough we gave the kittens away; however, we did keep one kitten, Ashe. Ashe is now 15 weeks old. Today I realized that one of my outside cats is pregnant again. This is the same cat that gave birth to Ashe. I don't know if Ashe will be a problem. Will she attack the new kittens or become hostile towards them? Or will she not care and leave them be? Will the mother become hostile to Ashe once she has the new kittens?

It shouldn't be a problem.

Is Ashe an outside kitten?  15 weeks is too young to be on his own outside.

Yes she is an outside cat but she doesn't wonder very far from the porch. She has no problem being outside. She has been outside with the moms from day one. And she isn't quite on her own.(moms)

Has the kitten been vaccinated yet?  There are so many things that can go wrong.  Predators, diseases from other outside cats, walking through car fluids, getting hit by a car.

Do you plan to spay your cats? Litter after litter is very hard on moms, and Ashe will be fertile soon too.

If you post your city and state I can locate low-cost spay/neuter clinics for you in your area.

Kittens should not be re-homed before 8-10 weeks old.

The kitten has been vaccinated. We live in a rural neighborhood with literally three houses in it so the risk of getting hit by a car is very slim. Yes we do plan to spray all of the cats, including Ashe. We have a clinic that we have been going to for all our kitty needs for years but, thank you for your offer. We just kept putting it off because both of the moms kept nursing Ashe until just recently. So as soon as the kittens are gone we will have them all spayed.

It would be best if you had Ashe and the other mom spayed now, before further pregnancies occur, since they live outside. The nursing mom can be spayed when her kittens are 8 weeks old. It's best if you take proactive steps now, rather than wait.

We're not waiting. We are taking Ashe and the other mom into the clinic next Thursday to be fixed.
