I"m betting that there are going to be more knowledgeable people than I show up soon, but I do know a few of the questions they will want answered.

How long has it been swollen?

Is he eating/drinking normally?

Any changes in litter habits?

New foods?

Have you checked carefully for injuries to the lip?

Is he playing normally?

Get that information in here, and it will give the experts a better starting point!

Best of luck with your baby.  I know how frightening these things can be!

I would get him to the vet.  That looks like a food allergy or something.

Did this start after you switched to the fish flavored food?  What exactly are you feeding him (brand and flavors)?

If you just changed his food, it may well be a food allergy.  Can you go back, and see if it clears up?

He might just be allergic to canned fish flavors.  I had a cat like that.

Great!  Be sure to clean his bowl daily to help prevent any spread of bacteria, too.

Excellent!  Unfortunately, the only way we usually have to find out these things is to go through them.  You're a good cat mom or dad because you noticed the problem and took steps to figure out and solve the problem.  Good job!

LOL.  I clicked here thinking I'd see a delicious batch of homemade fudge!  Show's where my mind is at.

Glad to hear your Fudge is doing better!

Glad to hear that Fudge is doing better!  There's nothing like a sick or injured kitty to bring out the panic in all of us.  Apparently, he has a "fish thing."  Good to know, and a simple fix!  Nice work.
