Hello!
I've posted here and there a few times but I wanted to formally introduce my wonderful fur-family!
I currently have seven cats, all ranging from 9 weeks to 18 years. Some we've gotten recently, and others with had for almost a decade. I hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoy having them in my life!
This first picture is of Tess and Gizmo. Tess is the tortie and Gizmo is the tuxedo. I have had this pair the longest. Gizmo is now 8 and Tess is 7. Gizmo was initially a stray which my sister-in-law found on the side of the road after he had been hit by a car. The ball joint of his hip had shattered and we were told he had been shot at several times. We fixed him up and he is genuinly the sweetest boy, he doesn't have a mean bone in his body.
Tess...on the other hand *chuckle* She is seven now, we've had her since she was a kitten and over the years she has bonded with Gizmo. She does not like other cats and tolerates them at best. We have affectionately nicknamed her Beast-Child and she lives up to the name every day.
In this picture we have Vincent, Martin and Percy. Vincent is the Tuxedo Tabby and he is five years old. He is missing his left ear and was adopted from a shelter after being taken from abusive owners.
Martin is the Buff Tabby and he is two, he is completely blind in his left eye and 80% blind in his right eye. We adopted him from a shelter as he was a stray, the vet believes his sight issues are congenital, but he gets around perfectly.
Percy is now 9 weeks and the newest addition to our family. I'll be honest, I have a soft spot for long haired cats and we happened to be buying cat food one day and we came across this fellow in a store. I fell in love at first sight. Percy has taken a liking to Martin (Martin is the youngest cat we have next to Percy.
Another picture of Percy just because! (Please excuse the random laundry and leg in the image!)
Another one of Vincent! and Percy's behind...
Lastly we have Tipper and Cubby. Tipper is the black/brown long hair and cubby is the tabby.
We adopted them a few months back after not being able to walk away from where the were adopted. They were an eighteen year old, Male and female bonded pair of the same age. The previous owner had decided that they no longer wanted to care for the two and luckily surrendered them to a shelter that did not euthanise. My husband and I decided to take them both as not many people would adopted a bonded pair so old. We had reservations as we were worried how Tess would take to having another female in the house, but decided adopting them would be the best for their future lives.
So there you guys have it! My entire family. We've had some hurdles lately in regards to helping all the cats co-exist and get along. There have been a few scuffles. But we are doing better. However because of this our cat family is as big as it will get for the foreseeable future. I hope you enjoyed all the pictures!
