I have to agree with freezing rain. I think that is very scary. Often times work doesn't allow us extra time but I have waited until the air warmed up before venturing out. I only had to stay home twice. Then when the salt trucks come through at 7 it was not too bad. its the middle of the night rain I hate. I can't see in the rain as it is..

This morning was chilly-forgot what it was. 48? 55? today 70s. perfect. This is perfect. no heat. no ac. Just cool enough for me to snuggle under my blanket at night and a bit cool after my shower but once I am dressed not too bad. Hopefully this weather sticks around for a few weeks before we get the freezing weather.

Right. Sounds like we have the exact same weather at the moment. This morning was the 1st time in months that I was able to fully moisturize my face & body. There's just been no point as it just floats right off in the heat.

I'm starting to hate posting here because of all the great weather we have here. It sounds so much like bragging. So after that one morning of "drizzle" there hasn't been anything else. Just 75 during the day, light wind, no clouds, 70% humidity, 65 during the night with marine layer (medium high thick clouds) coming in every night which burn up by 10 a.m. the next morning.

55 here, even bit of sunshine, wind has calmed down too, so quite nice weather, nights are around freezing, so not much bugs to annoy anymore, beginning of summer is such that it is hard to fit in to all flying blood suckers in air, I don't mind if we would omit that bit over 2 months of summer, but luckily it is so short and soon no insect is able to move, at least 5 months of insect free time, that is good part of cold.

But I guess, at places where it is warm around the year, there are not so bad attacks of blood suckers?

Nah, there are screens on our windows to keep all the flying things out. Screens are actually required by law for any place that is rented out. When I lived in Germany where we did not have so many flying things it was the custom to have sheer or net curtains on all windows with heavier curtains to draw over them at night for privacy. The sheer curtains acted like a screen. People are also encouraged here not to have any standing water around ( unless it is cleaned out every day such as bird baths) so that mosquitos do not have a place to breed and to transmit diseases such as the Zika virus which is devastating Brazil and now Florida or Malaria and Yellow Fever.

There is not going outdoors without protective gear when it is bad here, swamps and lakes around, so there is plenty of places for little buggers to breed on.

Screens are a must, but some smaller ones goes trough those, so it is better to have pollen filters on window openings.

At morning it was below 25 degrees, great weather for magpie problem control.

It was cloudy this morning. The sun is out now, but it is so humid! Terrible! It is 73 degrees outside and the humidity is almost as high.. supersaturated air. It is heavy to breathe.. just tropical...

I'm in central Florida also. It's 87 and humid- according to Weather Underground it feels like 96. Same thing different day. Likely a thunderstorm later. :dk:

It's 87 here now, supposed to be 90 tomorrow, really warm for this time of year in Ohio.  I still have the air conditioning on.  It's supposed to get down to the mid 70's for highs the middle of next week.  I don't know if records are being broken but it certainly is warmer than usual.

I believe it's official that 2016 has been the hottest year ever.
That is actually bit untrue, might be hottest at current measuring positions for last 150 years or so, but just few hundred years before thermometers were invented, there was a lot warmer, except that is not allowed to be said aloud, truth might not sell headlines so well.
Processes that takes hundreds and some thousands years can't be really monitored from 150 years of more or less random measurements, but it does not stop headlines :D

Here locally this summer has been quite cool with record amount of rain, might been hot at some places, but for certainly not here, no matter what their statistics claim, here it has been totally different.

Last night was warm though, around 45 degrees, many of previous nights have been below freezing and it has not been above 50 during the days recently either, pretty much perfect weather, I would like it year around as I can finally run wearing shorts and t-shirt without exhausting from overheating.

Some people did look me weird way last winter, when I was running on t-shirt while there was snow, road was covered with ice that has bit of water on top of it, temp was just above freezing, really good for running.
Amount of heat I put out when running is quite insane, once I calculated that it can be close to 1000 watts.

We've been in the low-to-mid 80s pretty much all week, but are supposed to cool back down to the mid-70s come the weekend and stay there pretty much all of next week. The heat and humidity have been unreal around here. We did cool down a bit, but then went right back up again. Lots of Sun. We had a night of rain the other night, for which we were very grateful. But it's not enough. We need more.

a very few sprinkles the other day, mostly overcast the last few days and today until about 2 pm, then clear, 65 at night, 80 during the day, not bad but I wish it would RAIN, haven't had any since February, not even anything from the various hurricanes that usually bring us some summer showers.

What about the Little Ice Age of the 1600s or so? How can you say it was much warmer then?

Here's a handy cartoon chart :D: http://xkcd.com/1732/

It's been pretty nice here. Highs in the 70s/low 80s, nighttime lows around 60. It could stay like this for awhile and I'd be happy. But supposedly it'll get colder starting on Sunday. . .which I still don't mind, the only problem is we're heading toward winter and I don't like the really cold temps :/. Down to about 10 degrees I'm OK, below that, just no.
