Does dry food "go bad" if left out too long?

I'm feeding my kitty a mix of Orijen and Royal Canin Kitten at the moment, and just wondering how long I can safely leave these out once taken from the bag.

Do you mean how long the dry food is good for in the cat's bowl? If yes, then the dry food is good for up to 12 hours before you should throw it away and wash the bowl out. Cat saliva will get all over the food and bowl and the bacteria in cat saliva will happily grow in the dry food and may cause an upset tummyif the food is later eaten.

Almost anything organic will eventually go bad.  Seal your kibble as best you can and keep it in a dark and cool place.  Kibble has oil in it and that oil and other ingredients will become rancid after a time.
