Oh my!   I feel sorry for you to have to deal with this. I really cannot help you, but it is good that you did go to a Vet. Did they think she was about to have a miscarry? Are they sure the blood is from that area?

I don't see how rectal bleeding would be related to losing the kittens.  I think you need another vet...

Does she seem constipated?

I would immediately begin to add a few drops of olive oil to her food to soften her stools so she can pass them without straining.

Is she eating both dry kitten chow and wet food?

If she continues with blood in her stool, she may have a bacterial infection in her colon and need antibiotics.

It does not sound like she is losing her kittens.

Please keep us posted.

Dry food is more constipating than canned, wet food. Do not feed dry as a large portion of her food intake.. Wet food is the way to go with dry only as treats--or nibble food.

I would also try adding a little bit of water to her wet food.

The wet food diet is perfect. She needs to eat as much as she wants though. A small dish of kitten chow for snacking is good. Add the oil to her wet food. Make sure she has a bowl of fresh water always available.

Again, if you still see blood in her stool next week, she needs an antibiotic like clavamox or amoxicillin. This kind of bacteria is common, and easy to treat, but causes intestinal distress, so it needs to be killed.

I'm glad the blood in her stool has stopped. Are you giving oil to soften her poops?

I'm glad the oil is helping. That tells me that the lining of her colon was itritated from constipation. Keep using the oil.

You'll need to wait to spay her when her kittens are 8 weeks old. She may go into heat before then, so just make sure she stays inside and away from intact males.

Keep us posted! [emoji]128522[/emoji]
