Oh yeah!  We often make meals out of leftovers, and depending on the food, I vacuum pack some things for freezing.
Which vacuum sealer do you use? I've been considering getting one.
We have a Food Saver V4865.  I make bean stews a lot, and I like to package up the leftovers in 1 or 2 person portions for later.  I don't eat meat, so hubby buys meat for himself, cuts it into 1 person portions and freezes it.

I consume my fair share of leftovers. Not sure how many of me my wife thinks that there are lol. Love my Foodsaver. Don't really use it for leftovers much. It does get used often for bulk sale meats, fresh caught fish, wild game, homegrown hops and to waterproof items during canoe trips.

Oh yes!  i don't like wasting food!  Some things I make with leftovers in mind too.  Like chili, ham, soup, etc.  Whenever we have a holiday family meal I bring leftover containers (or my mother brings some here) so we can split them to enjoy after.

Turkey with all the trimmings is the best for leftovers.  I always intentionally cooked much more than was needed, that way everyone could take home some and I still had leftovers.

Leftover turkey is awesome. I eat it cold by itself of with bread and a bit of salt. I love turkey!
I have a Foodsaver too, but I use it mostly for freezing bulk meat as well. Having issues right now trying to seal up fresh corn on the cob I've blanched. It won't seal the bags because it's too wet. How to you seal wet items? Flash freeze first???

Flash freezing or nearly frozen will help. Most foodsavers have a wet setting too. You can also sop up some of the moisture with paper towels.

Thank you! It was a pain trying to seal my corn on the cob. I am going to try to put up about 200 ear, so I gotta figure it out fast. I also vacuum sealed some pizza leftovers today from my takeout Friday night!

Don't forget about the little tray in there that collects some of that water. You may have to empty it often. The machine may stop when it is full.

Thanks!  My older version died last week, I just purchased a new one that is more "upright" standing, and I'm still getting used to it.
