Tomorrow she has an appointment to get spayed, but the only problem is she is now in heat...we tried calling the place to ask if they can do it, and how much extra it will be, but no one was there. This isn't a regular vet, it is a low cost spay/neuter that is non profit, she has to be there between 7:30 am and 8:30 am, it is like 30 minutes from us as well. Does anyone have any experience with this?

In this area it is an extra $20.00 but you need to let the vet know when you drop her off that she is in heat.

We won't spay cats in heat where I work. Our doctors seem to think it is dangerous, but I know some vets do it.

Vets I know do it all the time, though it is more expensive. When our little dog Bonnie got spayed she was in heat (long story there.) It cost $110 when the normal for that program was $65 at the time.

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
When i took Rosie to be spayed, they thought that she was in heat as she was red down below, so the vet had to check her out first, because if she was they said her womb could collapse in to pieces if they operated.

Thankfully she was ok to be done!

Ok so we took her in this morning, they didn't charge extra, they only do if they are pregnant or if it is a dog. We are getting all her shots as well because they were very nicely priced. We are leaving to pick her up at 3:30 so she should be home around 4:30-5:00. I will then update you on how she is when we get home, thanks for the replies!
