Scout and Boo are 18 month old brothers, adopted from the Kitty Bungalow for Wayward Cats in Los Angeles! These two are inseparable and very loving, although Scout has started to display a little bit of macho madness. He started spraying in an area where he'd soiled the couch a few times but now that the couch is covered with plastic, he started jumping up on the back of it and backing himself up against the wall and peeing against it! Didn't know this was happening until I caught him one day and pulled the couch out. Gross!!! Cleaned it up and am using a Feniway Diffuser which releases pheremones to calm them and make them feel more secure. We'll see if it works. Haven't pushed the couch back against the wall yet but must do so soon. Aren't they cute though? ;-)

Welcome to the Catsite tamotv :wavey:

What a cute pair you have there.

Not sure if the spraying due to a new place? Are they neutered?

I love the full name of the shelter "Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats"!  Looks like a great place.  Welcome to TCS.  Boo and Scout are gorgeous.

A big welcome to you, Scout and Boo.
They really are very beautiful kitties.  Just a suggestion about spraying:  it's essential to clean up with an enzyme cleanser that will break down the urine molecules  Otherwise Scout will still be able to smell it and think it's okay to go there.  I use Nature's Miracle but there are a lot of similar products out there so you have a wide selection.

You said Scout has just recently started doing this.  Did something unusual happen right around the time he began spraying?  This can be something as simple as him seeing a stray cat outside.  If you can identify a trigger, it will be much easier to get his behavior under control.  The Feliway diffuser is often helpful so that's a good place to start.
