Sometime at the beginning to middle of may my cat made her way outside and became pregnant. I tried to catch her, but being very pregnant myself I just couldn't rangle her, but I tried. She was outside for around 2 weeks so I am unsure of her due date, but I know it is very soon. Over the last 24 to 48 hours she has become restless for lack of a better term. She runs around like a kitten after a mouse, she is spooked very easily, just in general is acting very hyper. This is not her normal behavior she is a very laid back lazy cat. Could this be a labor sign or just a surge in hormones? She doesn't seem distressed or I'd take her to the vet.

It's normal for them to do this. Most likely pre labor and hormones combined.

Welcome to TCS! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

It sounds like your cat is beginning to exhibit end of pregnancy signs! All of her behavior sounds normal, especially based on when you say she was outside and may have conceived.

We'd love to see a picture of your cat, and are here to answer any questions you may have. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

She started delivering about an hour and a half ago! We have 4 babies right now, and I believe more coming.

It won't post my picture :( I'll try again later. Is there a way to know when she is done?

Yes, when kittens stop coming.

She'll let the kittens nurse and sleep.  You may want to provide nest service and offer her some food after she is done.  Water or kmr can be offered anytime.

Don't let her eat more than 4 placentas.  Too many can cause diarrhea.  She may not be hungry right away because she ate placentas so don't panic if she isn't eating.

Sometimes the site holds pictures until someone checks them.

Wonderful! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Watch for a runt with 5 kittens. Make they are all latching and nursing when mom is done delivering. When she is done, give her clean, dry bedding.
